Well, first stop on our road to Wembley. Bring it on.

Here are the 2nd round games from Tuesday involving the L1 clubs:

Rochdale v Chesterfield
Crewe
v Wigan
Bradford
v Barnsley
Bury
v Morecambe
Fleetwood v Shrewsbury
Port Vale
v Blackpool
Sheff U
v Notts C
York v Doncaster
Crawley v Southend
Gillingham
v Luton
Millwall v Northampton
Oxford v Swindon
Yeovil v Coventry

18 L1 clubs in action, 5 head to heads.

Yey. About as much enthusiasm as I can manage for this fixture. When will this purgatory end?

Depends what side we put out really, I'd hope for us to progress although Blackpool have had a couple of morale boosting results.

only one game is going to have a decent attendence, that be our game at Inbred United, and we will lose as well, i think we have just about sold out our allocation of1200, but the bragging rights will stay with the mongs!!!!!!

3 matches will attract more than the rest put together (Bradford , Blades, Poxford) and Creepy will struggle to make 1000.

With the draw as it is, I hope we take it fairly seriously, though we will probably get turned over by Luton

The first game I'm willingly missing, this. I refuse to give Crewe any more of my money.

Im going to Crewe for some reason. International break means Ill need a fix rather than 2 weeks without, and its fairly cheap and less than an hour away so might as well.

It will be a decent crowd (in jpt terms) for our visit to kitkat stadium, it's only up the road to York (15 mins) on the Train.

Defeat to Oxford seems inevitable at this moment. JPT or not Cooper really needs a win tomorrow. The natives are beginning to get restless.

Sounds like we're taking this reasonably seriously. Just us and Swindon from League One in our section but we do have some of the toughest League Two teams e.g Plymouth, Exeter and Portsmouth, but we really should be able to do well.

EDIT: Just realised Portsmouth are out, didn't really take much notice of the first round. Oxford are another decent League Two team in there though.

Oxford or not, I'd happily trade defeat tomorrow for 3 points Saturday.

As it is we have to put out pretty much a 2nd XI due to injuries and international call-ups, so I'd be happy for us to kick the living shit out of a few of their players.

As an aside, 'they' are apparently parading 2 of their former players for this prestigious fixture. WTF is that all about?

We have a guest ex-player who is presented to the crowd before every game.

Just so happens that for this one we've chosen James Constable and Joey Beauchamp, just to wind up you inbred sister shagging mutants. Enjoy.

Oh the irony!

Six fingered, web footed, hunch backed Swindon fans calling us mongs. You're right about one thing though..........you will lose.

Bradford City Barnsley - Now that our weekend game is off, we might start one or two who would've been rested, Cole and Kyle Reid the main two there. Meredith is away with Australia so Greg Leigh should make his debut, I think McArdle will be with N Ireland too, Lee Evans with Wales and Burke with England yoofs (assuming they've joined up already), add those to all our injuries and I'm not sure how much we can rotate within the rules. I'd start Brad Jones for the game time even though he's been dropped after just 3 games in the league. *Obligatory, I don't care if we lose reference*. I think it'll go to penalties, score draw after 90 mins.

Jones
McMahon Clarke Routis Leigh
Marshall Liddle Knott Reid
Davies Cole

Dale v Chesterfield.

Keith Hill has hinted he will make five changes, but he's completely unpredictable as to what those will be.

My guess at the team:
Lillis
Bennett-Eastham-McNulty-Tanser
Rafferty-Allen
Vincenti-Alessandra-NML
Andrew

0-0, win on pens...

You lot taking this seriously?

Our manager went on a massive rant about respecting cup competitions when our local journo told him that teams don't like the JPT earlier.

I hope we win but won't lose sleep if we don't. The main thing is Sam Morsy gets a suspension out of the way on a game that doesn't really matter and one or two young lads might get chances to impress.

We made more changes than we were allowed too in the 1st round so i expect the same again tbh i dont think i can bring myself to even make the effort of going. If it was away then yeah , il decide later

Has Joey's mum let him stay out that late?

Christ, we dodged a bullet with Constable. Thank fuck the guy had no ambition

The no-one gives a shit until their team gets to the area final and within touching distance of Wembley thread.
Indeed, i'd even drop the area final. First one we got to we lost to Brentford in 2001, I didn't give a toss to be honest. This competition is literally Wembley or bust. Be nice if we could actually win it once though, even scoring a goal in final would be nice! but I'll happily take a reserve side losing to Crawley as well.
