Been a good start to this game too, Solihull play some nice football, long gone are the Flowers side of 6ft6 fridges kicking you up and down the pitch.

Great game, thought Grimsby played the better football and deserved the win.
Five of the nine goals scored by ex-Rovers players (Mani, Waterfall, Mullin), with Sousa prominent as well.

A real 'if Carlsberg did....' day for Tranmere supporters, with Wrexham and Liverpool both bottling it.

I thought Wrexham's style of play was really primitive considering the money they have spent. Lump it in to Mullin and Palmer and pick up the scraps. However, Grimsby's midfield was impressive and I would not mind having McAtee or Fox.

Looking forward to the National league already, none of this boring 1-0 sit on a lead crap that we had in League 2 for years.

Add to the weird refereeing and shithousery.

Stockport County.
Solihull were the second best footballing side I've seen this season in the NL after us.

Thier keeper is fucked though injury wise, Chesterfield need to test him more 2nd half.

Think one or two of that Wrexham defence would struggle to get a game in the NPL. Have to admit I had a sly snigger when the Grimsby winner went in.
Always support British teams in Europe, but the silver lining to Liverpool’s defeat means i’m going to be spared a summer of cheesy Kloppermania from friends, colleagues and family.

As much as i would like to see grimsby make it back here next season i think this solihull side will tear them a new one in the final.

Hope i am wrong but can't see it.

I wouldn't mind Grimsby coming back, good trip and it would be nice to see a team go down and come back at the first time of asking - especially given the state they was in 12 months ago.

Moneybags Solihull will be an experience for most up here. Solihull as a town is actually not too bad, its small but has something for everyone. Problem is the ground is in such a shite location, if you know what bus to get and at what time its not too bad though.

They have a tiny fanbase as well, on a similar level to Salford and Harrogate.

The away end looked a bit crap.

I’d rather it was Grimsby coming up had hoped Chesterfield had won today as not been to the new ground and there are too many hobby clubs in L2 already.

the more of them here and the fuller the NL gets of ex-EFL teams the sooner EFL2 and NL will merge to EFL2N and EFL2S or NL becomes EFL3 with 4 up 4 down
