Ours are back however, Taylor, Close, Agard and Rowe are between 2 and 3 weeks away from a return, mind you they said the same about Okenhibirie last summer and he’s been out for over a year. If Twitter is to be believed Dodoo is refusing to train and wants to leave, no shortage of folk happy to drop him off somewhere

Think we're back Weds or Thurs. Maybe staggered to do fitness checks?

Think we start Wednesday. At the moment we don't have a keeper or any forwards. Midfield looks good though.

I live in Chester, but worked at both Clatterbridge and St Cath's Hospitals. I checked with a mate of mine who lives in Little Sutton. I think it was 1999 when it changed from L to CH.

Lost track a little of Donnie. We had a great tussle to get out of Non League. Refereeing error cost us the win at yours and Mr Reliable Daryl Clare missed his pen in the shoot out after both games ended 1-1. Fortunately we won it the following year, but had 5 years back of largely struggle. Is your owner the problem?

Certainly the ownership got lots wrong over the last 2 years which they have openly admitted. As a Club we are self sufficient in so far as the owner doesn’t have to put his hand in his pocket however if needed he will. Injuries last season plus appointing Wellens really caused the relegation.

Interesting. I don’t honestly know when it changed back to CH, but the Wirral postcode was CH in the early 70s.

I take it everyone's clubs are back for pre season today? We've returned with 12 players so far, certainly a lot to do in that department.

Bring on the scouring of training pitch pics and people posting asking if anyone recognises who the blurry image of this random player at training is!
Don’t think we are back until next week sometime due to the play offs

Similar to us when we came up, it felt like our players we're still out on the piss whilst everyone else was back on the training pitch.

We are back in training on Thursday. Our first pre season game on 1st July in our annual match against Bradford Park Avenue, usually a mix of kids and trialists. Cannot see there been many, if any, trialists this summer

We're back on Thursday. Apparently we are doing 3 days of testing (presume it's not general knowledge or driving theory) and then get the footballs out on Monday.

Definitely true that the people of West Kirby thought themselves too posh to be lumped in with Liverpool. Used to spend many a Sunday with my kids when they were young at West Kirby.

Good luck next season. Would be nice to think we'd be playing each other in a league game in the future, but even if we managed to get back into the NL we couldn't compete with the multi million pound budgets of the likes of Wrexham, Chesterfield, Notts County et al.

We were also back in pre season training yesterday. Our pre season fixtures are:

Warrington Town (A) - 9th July
Hearts (H) - 13th July
Southport (A) - 16th July
Huddersfield (H) - 23rd July

We also have two behind closed door friendlies against unknown opposition.
