the more of them here and the fuller the NL gets of ex-EFL teams the sooner EFL2 and NL will merge to EFL2N and EFL2S or NL becomes EFL3 with 4 up 4 down
I don’t think there’s much enthusiasm for a regional L2 tbh. The other option possibly although there would need to be a transition phase where the NL applied EFL financial rules, which although weak are not the free for all currently in the league below.

So today is the day we find out the final member of EFL 2 for 2022/23.
Solihull v Grimsby.
Who do we all want?
usually i'd say Grimsby have not suffered enough if they come straight back up - but as they are repeat offenders that doesn't apply.
After 2 great semi-finals i can't see a boring goalless final (probably just cursed it)

Both venues are a similar distance from Mansfield, but Solihull would be a new ground for us. However I suppose Grimsby would gives us more tickets and the fish and chips on Cleethorpes Pier might swing it in their favour, unless folk know of a brilliant chippy in Solihull.

Who ever takes many to Grimsby, though?

But don’t really want another piss pot club with a tiny allocation for away fans.

Grimsby for me, only 60 mins away plus they will be one of a very few clubs that will fill out our away end

Grimsby are a real club. They better not tinpotify the league any more by losing.

Solihull, purely as its local to me. Getting a ticket is another challenge but I'm not going to make the effort to go to Grimsby so I'd rather have somewhere I can get to in less than an hour.

Anyone choosing Solihull is being blacklisted, the tinpot quota in this league is already bursting at the seams.
C'mon Solihull :)

Seriously i would hope its Grimsby as i enjoyed the banter with their fans on this board and like others have said the fish & chips are outstanding, but as with A S Solihull is a much closer and easier place to get to for our fans.

Can get some good food in the airport which is the closest thing near to the ground, or maybe sneak into the Jaguar Land Rover staff canteen.

Solihull is just shit.

the one on McAtee - yep and possible red card?
Definitely, and now Solihull have scored against the run of play.

You will now witness proper non league shithouse game management for the next half.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Is Solihull going to be another of these sides here by splashing the cash, benefitting from away gates of 500-1000 the. Offering 50 fans in return while inflating the wages??

Or have they got here on merit

splashing a bit of cash - but also using a manager in Neil Ardley with NL experience and a 6'9" tall centre forward
