I've not been there but that can't be right surely, I mean there's ours for a start, or Accrington or Exeter. Worst in League 1 maybe.

I prefer Accrington and York as you can stand up. Never been to Exeter admittedly, didn't it collapse a few year ago? Maybe that's worse. With any open away end, if it's got seats and it's anything below 10 degrees it gets uncomfortably cold. Add this to Gillingham with no-one really taking any sort of numbers there so it's just dull (not their fault) and the general shittiness of the stand feeling like it's going to fall down in a strong gust of wind, it's probably the worst in the league. I'd agree with Gills fans on here though that location is not too bad, yeah it's rough but man up a bit.

I quite like the away ends at Gillingham and Exeter. But they are situated in parts of the country where it doesn't rain all the time. Unlike Maccy or Accy :(

Gillingham. Could of gone a couple of times but the thought of travelling 6 hours to potentially stand in the rain doesn't appeal to me

It is seating, not standing.
Anyway, if I can travel the same distance to get attacked by freskish, mutant Seagulls, get squashed into an overcrowded tram that stops every 20 yards and stand in a non league stadium in the pissing rain then you have no excuse not to support your team at Gillingham.

For teams with small support we put them in the end block of the Gordon Road stand which is covered. Seeing as Fleetwood's support is definitely in that category (no offence meant, just being honest) then you won't have to 'brave' the rain too much.

Our stand may not be aesthetically pleasing but you do get a decent view and it is cheaper than most other away ends.

Regarding the safety aspect, it has been there for 12 years and if 3000 oiky Leeds fans can jump up and down on it without incident, it's fair to say most tinpot followings visiting us this season will survive unscathed. If you're really tinpot in numbers you even get reallocated to a stand with a roof so we can actually hear you singing about how shit Gillingham is.

I'd say for us home fixtures are worse than away fixtures. Nothing more dull than playing at home to teams like Colchester and Scunthorpe, the away fixtures would be a more enjoyable day.

Surprised Bury is getting mentioned, drinks round Manchester, jump on the metro, sorted.

Not a bad, little ground either to be fair.

Swindon if they don't go up. Crumbling away end, bitch to get to on the train, 3 hours by road, battered us twice last season, absolute **** of an announcer. Also play glad all over when they score, which is shit.

The one you couldn't get me to if you paid me would be Port Vale. Been twice, hated it both times for a multitude of reasons including (but not limited to) location, journey, unfinished stand, sparse crowd, lack of atmosphere in both home and away ends, Port Vale's dull kit, Burslem, yadda yadda yadda.

Top 3 in order in my opinion I'd have to go with.

1. Coventry
2.colchester
3. Gillingham

Don't get me wrong, the Ricoh is depressing, but at least it has a roof.

Not keeping my hopes up. Anyway piss off to the championship forum.

The train station at the Ricoh will be complete by the next time you play us.

Luckily Coventry is cheap, but there is a reason for that.

Swindon - expensive, awful away end and shit recent record against them.

Gillingham - dump, crap away end, played there most seasons in the last ten years only decent visit was the promotion season.

Bradford - good record there saves it a bit but played them so many times it's become tedious. Not many pubs either.

This. It's a depressing hell hole. And then you speak to their fans, my god.

Never overly get why people obsess about Burslem being a shit hole as an away day (let's be honest the drive in from the A500 does go past the worst bit).

Fans moan about grounds being on a retail park with little to do pre game bar pop in Sports Direct or Tesco like Scunthorpe (and there's not even the consolation of a half decent ground either) or Doncaster etc yet Burslem has a couple of really decent pubs (Bulls Head with a BBQ for a start is as good as any you'll find at most away grounds) so location wise it's a bit rough around the edges but if you look in the right places it's got plenty to satisfy an away fan.

In fairness I don't find Burslem too bad at all, in fact I quite like the feeling of the place but that's on a decent match day. It's not the worst town in SOT. Always go in the Bulls Head before a match.

Train is bloody easy from Barnsley, Barnsley to Sheffield, then from there direct train to Cheltenham, then from Cheltenham straight to Swindon
