Colchester at home every season – it’s always an absolute shocker which we tend to lose 1-0 or 2-0. Doesn’t matter if they’re in shit form and cemented in the relegation zone whilst we’re on a good run or hovering around the playoffs. They’ll beat us. To be honest, it’s a cracking game to have on your accumulator that weekend.
And as for those who are putting Oldham (not that I blame you), but it’s about to get worse for those who only like BP because of the acoustics in the away stand…..you’ve now been dumped into the Chaddy End and that place is shit and obstructed by pillars.

Sorry lads.

Its getting very shit and boring now but it wont last forever we will get up eventually. We dont have a bad squad we just need to appoint the right manager which we cant seem to do. But as much as i dont wanna be in this league the thought of relegation battles in the championship doesnt appeal at all.

Oldham- because it's always freezing
Gillingham- because it's on the arse end of the country and ridiculous to get to
Southend- I went there on my first date with my ex Mrs (her choice, not mine- alarm bells should have sounded) and have no plans to ever return. It's like Blackpool on mogadon, although to be fair there are less drunken Scottish and Geordie people there.

Special mentions for Crewe and their unnecessary, counter-productive stand, Millwall, for you know... and Wigan for the blinding sunlight that shines onto the away section. I also harbour a certian level of disdain towards Shrewsbury for moving grounds and the new place having a less hilarious name

Barnsley away. We must have played there every season now since we got relegated from the top flight.

I like Walsall away. Head into the town centre early one and get the 2:45 train to the ground and you get in with 5 mins before kick off. Admittedly it is better for us as we sell out and Walsall have an increased crowd.

Do we? Is there some dormant Port Vale rivalry that I missed?

Millwall . . . . . . S c a r n f o r p, f a r k i n S c a r n f o r p
Gillingham . . . another miserable place to go in the southeast
Coventry . . . . yawnnnnnnnnnnn

Honorary mentions to Crewe and Port Vale for location.

I cannot leave without mentioning Fleetwood, for its smell of fish. Little known is that most Scunthorpe fans carry an inbuilt defence mechanism in the immune system that protects us from the stench of fish. We do suffer some side effects though, such as watering eyes and nasal irritation, but the real problems can be triggered with the association of stinking fish and Grimsby. As much as I look out for Fleetwood's results with our very own G Alexander as manager, it is not a place for us to visit lightly. I will pass the psychological barrier though and go again if the match fits in with my travel schedule.
