There aren't any Grimsby fans on here that know how good/terrible we are yet, therefore it's quite intriguing how there are Mansfield and Lincoln fans who know more than us about our own squad. Apologies, unfortunately this happens in our threads. Have you ever seen a documentary about a dung beetle rolling its ball of shit around and it gets bigger and bigger? There seems to be random people on here that dislike us, mainly from Lincoln and Mansfield. Why though? Lincoln I get but the only link to Mansfield is that we’re both lower league clubs placed in industrial Midlands’ towns.

To get to the point, certain people (Mansfield and Lincoln fans) deemed us relegation battlers after 1 game. It’s like reviewing a restaurant on the toilet air fresheners. You don’t even get to know teams until at least 10 games and then it can still all change. We were 11th at Christmas last year! All to play for.

Finally, I get the feeling that people think our signings are shit because none of them are big name signings and (mainly Lincoln, judging by their forum) are choosing to focus on our no-name players (Robles). I saw on Vitals that John Welsh was going to get the runaround from younger midfielders and is an awful signing at 34 - they’ve now signed Jason Shackell.

We haven’t got the money that other clubs have so we’re unlikely to trouble the top end. We know for a fact that it’s far too early to tell yet. I mean, Mansfield could only draw at a relegation contender today!

Yeah the Rose sending off is annoying right before Lincoln, MJ said we will be appealing it maybe. I reckon maybe Hessenthaler to come into the middle of the midfielders and Clifton to play where he was today if Rose is suspended. A shame because even though that's alright, Rose has been key under Jolley. But sod that attitude about maybe not getting spanked. I'm going into next weekend with fire in my belly and a bit of hope now!

We won't be in a relegation battle this season. This argument that our signings are all shit is a myth with zero backup to the claims. Our signings have been fine, we will be fine.

Rose's red won't be overturned sadly. It's a good opportunity for Clifton to come into the middle and stake a claim. With Welsh and Hess around him, he won't have a better chance to show what he can do.

For a team so amazing Adam, how come you could only draw at Yeovil? Oh dear.

As for us, we will be fine, won't trouble play offs and hopefully won't trouble relegation, it's a building job, without millions to throw at it like certain clubs we will be happy with mid table, and still be in the same league as the stags next season.

Hadn't even thought about bringing RHJ in, to be honest. It wouldn't surprise me to see Jolley spring a surprise or two. Still haunted by the 5-0 in 05/06 and the 4-2 the season before so the last memories don't actually bother me that much. We go into this one as underdogs, which is a decent place to be.
