The issue we have is around 5000-6000 hardcore fans are boycotting. We still have 1200-1300 clinger ons buying season tickets and shirts.

They see the management of the club as someone elses business and they just want to support da lads. Well, they can go fuck themselves. I can't stomach going into an away end with pricks like that.
It’s a way of life for some, like breathing they don’t have the imagination to do anything else

Its very difficult. I have been a fan/supporter for over 20 years. Football is a habit and even when I didn't agree with how the club was run I wanted to support the team. The 11 players on the field of play, the manager, the coaches. It isn't their fault. Watching their team play is the one thing alot of fans look forward to. They save all their money for a few hours of escaping from normal life. Its like the check-a-trade. I don't go, but alot of people will watch Pompey in pre season friendlies, reserve games, the lot.

I agree, but the difference between Blackpool and Portsmouth and correct me if I am wrong, but there wasn't any mass suing of fans?

I've had good friends, threatened myself via email and people I know on the forums. Which all found out to be completely unsolicited and pure bullying tactics.

I wonder who’ll be next?

Robinson at Oxford and perhaps Askey at Shrewsbury must be feeling the pressure?

Perhaps even Clough will now be worried.

Feels good not to have a Sunderland manager in the mix for the sack for once.

Daws could go tonight, he isn't the man to keep us up that's pretty evident

Not surprising at all. Nice enough guy but he wasn’t going to keep us up. Need some experience in now.

Thinking of Scunthorpe and the surname Daws.

Whatever happened to Brian Laws?

Edit: Just Googled and see he had a heart bypass and now does radio.

His last managerial job was his third spell with us in L2 a few years ago. Was sacked but we went up that year under Russ Wilcox.

Crazy to think Brian Laws and Phil Brown have managed in the Premier League. And Brown actually kept Hull up!

The only thing Robinson has going for him is that it took our chairman about three years to appoint him in the first place. If we sacked him now then we would probably be relegated by the time we found someone else.

I think we should bring in David Hockaday in for some real experience.

I'd like to think we'll give him time, having backed him with £600K in transfer fees outlay (admittedly spread across several questionable looking signings) - even our most deluded fans surely don't see last season as anything other than a once-in-a-lifetime freak season, and I'd like to think most would be happy with mid-table safety this time around. Our chairman has never been particularly trigger happy, but I guess if we're still in the bottom 4 after another 5-10 games then anything is possible.....

Derek Adams must be on borrowed time. Yet again he detracts from his teams poor performance by slagging off the ref, and making sure Pompey remember he's finished above us 2 times in the last 3 years.. He even had the cheek to say Plymouth were good in the first half!

That's Adams all over he's deluded in his interviews after his team has lost or drawn,it's always the refs fault or the cheating opposition even when they've been played off the park.

From the darlings of the media 5 year ago to a complete laughing stock, had too happen to have any chance of survival which is terrible to be saying after 6 games.

Still 40 games left, as much as it's hard, a bit of positivity needed. Although this is all set up for Rahic to either announce himself or Abbott as the new man tomorrow.
