Getting rid of Graham Alexander was a woeful decision from people who should know better. They have been slowly floating backwards ever since. GNev even admitted on live telly that it was a massive mistake. Bowyer must be under the cosh now. It's all things you love to see though
The length of their odds for relegation compared to teams around them was mentioned by our local paper today. Kinda makes sense though, if they are still in this position in January then they'll go out and get a new manager and give him an unlimited kitty to buy a whole new squad. Wrexham and Stockport have stolen their MO now so that'll make it harder for them.

And as for Leyton Orient, anyone who's ever been there know it's a fact that 80% of their supporters are anoraks who stink of piss.

The professional London football scene is dead as it is without wanting to go and follow Leyton Orient.
Well if 80% of Orients fans stink of piss, yours must be 99%.

They'd been at loggerheads over allsorts that I know. Budget, staff, contract, signings. Whether something blew up in the last week I don't know. Move on, get over it. I've accepted it. Let's hope Raj opens the chequebook for the next bloke, I'd like us to get the Halifax manager. Failing that Keith Hill or Mike Flynn would be good shouts. Not sure on Hill's style of football though.
One thing I noticed in celebrations at Bristol, was that Raj & Challinor didn’t really celebrate together.
I think there was only one photo of them together & they didn’t look like they had a close relationship.

Can’t give them unlimited funds now can they because of the FFP? Possibly explains why their tickets aren’t a tenner anymore as need more income.

You should see their fans on social media, BiG cLuB, twice the size of Pools, biggest potential outside of the Championship etc blah blah. Aye, right. Like the six years of regional leagues, part time status never happened. And they're still non league. We're all small clubs in the grand scheme.
Yep the comments from Stockport supporters on Hartlepools Tweet where it announced Challinor was leaving are absolute cringe, Championship in 3 years being the best one.
I remember in the build up to our game earlier in the season though that it appears around 75% of Stockport fans on Twitter are nonces.

Seen Challinor described as one of the best managers in their history? That can't be true surely? Can see why he's well liked but that's surely a bit much.

Starting to feel a bit bad about it tbh. The Hartlepool fans look fucked mentally. Like a boxer trying to get up for the 10th round after being used as a punchbag for the preceeding 9.

You just know they're not going to make the 10 second count soon. Either next season or the following. They know we're coming to finish the job.

Challinor will get Stockport promoted to League 2, and then in November the season after he'll leave Stockport for Wrexham after they sack Phil Parkinson and pay compensation to Stockport.

We’ve got fuck all backing but are doing fine.

It doesn’t matter a jot how much any owner is worth, it’s whether he/she is prepared to spend it and spend it wisely.

Your fella is hardly a shining example of a wealthy owner spending wisely - or, more precisely, allowing someone else spending his money wisely.

Christ, Lee Power was a multi millionaire. He was never going to waste his own money on the club.
Says the fan of a club that has been beset by financial difficulties over the last 20 years. How many times have you been placed into administration ? -- At least twice and I'm sure there has been at least one winding up order as well. At least we have always paid our debts . And yes to progress I agree with you on that point you need an owner who is prepared to spend wisely. But you have to have the money in the first place.

I agree- in the past being the operative words.

We’re being run properly with 100% transparency now. The purchase of the CG on a 50/50 basis with the Supporters Trust is going ahead and will be concluded in the new year. We get regular financial statements - we’ve already paid down over £2m of the £4.5m debt Power left us with.

We’ve got sponsors coming out of our ears, crowds averaging c9,000 and a feelgood factor that’s been missing for decades.

Hartlepool could do worse than Michael Flynn. Looking at the list this seems a very viable option who is out of work and a manager who did a great job at Newport for a long time. Not sure why he resigned but if I was a betting man.....

Keith Hill currently 1/10 to be our new manager.

Would snap your hand off for him but I thought he could do better than us.

Hill was a good fit at Rochdale for a few years, but done nothing for a long time. He is a dinosaur now, and no, doubt he could do better than you.

Poor appointment in my opinion if you go ahead

Were the least attractive job in the FL, a large amount of Conference jobs are more attractive than us.

Tiny budget, terrible squad, transfer embargo, owner who doesn't care. We are not going to attract any amazing manager, we will attract a manager who is willing to work for very little. I suppose it is little risk for us. If he somehow keeps us up, he's a miracle worker. If we go down, it's expected he hasn't lost anything.

Hill would be a great appointment considering the circumstances.

Good luck to Keith Hill who became Scunthorpe manager whilst this site was down. Would keeping Scunny in L2 be considered a success?
