They’re laughing tonight at all the dummies lumping on!
Does seem a bit strange though, Why would a club make such a statement if they have no interest.
Surely you would just ignore all rumours.
Does not add up.
And also is this not intereferring with the betting.

According to sky bet Tommy Miller is ahead of Sweens.
I know who i would rather have, And thats the guy who is already employed by the club.
Thats if its true about woodman.

i have an irrational dislike of harsley's time at Vale as a player, but his name was thrown about before we appointed the messiah. I wouldn't have been mad to be fair, i think it was man city he was at, working with the academy there. Sounds like he's about ready to give management a go somewhere.

We played Man City u23s a few times with Harsley as manager and they played some beautiful football.

Obviously a big part of that is the players and the ethos he's probably forced to follow but if he brings it with him then you would play some football that is easy on the eye.

No thanks,no u23 coach's for me.
We need a manager or someone who's coached in League or NL foootball, not someone who's ponced around with academy players.

I liked Harsley but was part of that awful relegation side which doesnt help!

After the Woodman fart on last week it's not even worth talking about until Pools announce who it is.

All these supposed ITK people in shambles right now.

Alex Revell and Dean Wilkins to stand down tomorrow according to our site. Think it's the right call but disappointed it didn't work out. Good luck to the pair of them in the future.

Surprised that Stevenage didn't kick on this season to be honest, must have had the one of the best records over the last 20 games of last season. They were difficult to beat last season yet seem to be shipping goals for fun this year.

Stevenage need a manager to go back to what they’ve been more known for traditionally and that’s being defensively stubborn and a massive bunch of shithouses. Don’t think they’re in any serious danger of going down or anything like that but no question they’ve under performed what thought they might have been this season.

In other words they’ll go back to Westley-ball.

Had Stevenage down as dark horses for play offs this season, so I am surprised things haven’t worked out.

I think he’s done a good job really, they had a miracle to escape being a national league side again, they were prepping for non league life when Macc were booted (and had to rely on Bury going pop too).

To stabilise them and turn them into a decent outfit last season was a good achievement, we all know Lines is a good player and are raving about Tom Pett this season and that was their midfield last season!

Probably right time to move as they seem to have gone as far as they could but the alternative path was far worse.

I agree he did a good job last season, we had a less than ideal summer and a poor start, it wasn't until Dean Wilkins came in and we were able strengthen in January, that we turned a corner. We ended last season in decent form and it gave promise for the new season.

The losses of Tom Pett and Jamie Cumming have hit us hard but not sure we can use this to excuse the drop off in performances and results this season. I'd say it was the right call, we've reverted back to the sort of performances that were common place during our "relegation" season/the start of last season. Things have gone backwards. Shame it didn't work out and I hope he goes on to be a success elsewhere.

With Sampson gone and now Revell and Wilkins I hope we look for someone outside the club who can try and develop a change in culture - another internal, cheap appointment would be disappointing. Not sure who's realistic, are we a big enough draw to take a manager performing well in the division below? Is Michael Flynn someone we could attract? He was odds on favourite for the Barnsley job a few days ago so I suspect not.

Get the impression Flynn is biding his time until the Gas job comes up.

I highly doubt Barnsley would want Flynn, think they going for a Swedish bloke, typical Barnsley that lol.

Purely because they signed the delightful Jake Taylor which is obviously a bit of good business on their part, or did something else come into play?

It was mostly down to their form in the second half of last season. Revell made them defensively solid and hard to beat. I thought that if they could bring in a few bits of extra quality, they could easily be another Morecambe. Signing Taylor was a step in the right direction, but for whatever reason, they’ve struggled to show much form.

Given how good Jake is/was I expect most their budget went on him. I know he wanted to relocate but he was hardly going to take a half paycut to move back. Stevenage have looked rather woeful for a while now. Not sure just Taylor would change that and their other signings were rather depressing.

I know it’s just bookies talk but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Evans jumped ship
