I’ve no idea, tbh. Would be a weird one. It is definitely ‘your’ Matt Taylor, though.

Maybe he hasn’t been promised much, maybe he’s been told he has to sell before he can recruit. Who knows what goes on at clubs these days.

It would be a bigger surprise than Wellens returning, though.
I'm pretty sure you'd have to cough up a lot of dough as well as think he has like 2 years left?

I just don't get why he'd go to Swindon, his stock is high at the moment, he could get plenty of league 1 jobs I'm sure. Location is all I can think of..

Personally don't think he'll be going anywhere, and will take us to back to back promotions :)

Be the same for Wellens. Hopefully the compo we receive for Garner would pay for compo for our new man.

Maybe he’s been sold a ‘vision’ at Swindon - could have been tapped up when he was covering our PO games for Sky.

I’d say it was unlikely.

I think you would all be surprised how little compo is required for managers compared to players

If Taylor leaves Exeter to drop down a league it pisses all over the claims that they have one of the strongest squads in league 1, doesn’t it.

Who’s made that claim that is not currently scouting the dark web for illegal services though?

He’s thinking about it though, which says a lot.

For a lot of managers it’s not all about what league you’re in, it’s about how far you can go with a club.

Maybe similar to, say, the Luton manager dropping down to manage Ipswich or Sheff Wed

Not overly comparable as he's much more likely to be sacked at Swindon than with us, we haven't sacked a manager in over 20 years

Job security to someone who's about to have a baby is definitely going to be high on his list

I heard we interviewed him too, but picked someone else instead…

3 interviews elsewhere already. He’s obviously looking to get out asap.

Then with a young family to consider, he’d be mad not to at least think about a job that offered more. Not saying that’d be us, but if what you think is true it smacks of a lack of ambition.

Does it matter if a manager gets sacked - they get paid up.

Interesting Taylor is second favourite for the Swindon job. Seems it is him as oppose to the ex Walsall one. Mind you Sol Campbell is third favourite, which must be a concern.

#5,815

Funnily enough bookies also made our manager really short for the Walsall gig in getting their Matt Taylor's mixed up

He was also 2/1 and favourite this morning do its lengthening lol

Bookies have been surprisingly accurate when it comes to lower league appointments recently.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Cooper in at Exeter if Taylor goes, obviously has strong previous connections there.

Sol Campbell did well under difficult circumstances at his last couple of manager positions, i'm surprised nobody had picked him up yet.

I think you are right for once.
He is probably waiting to see the outcome of Bartons court case before he applies for the gas job.
I'm always right- apart from my prediction we'd win the league from 18 points behind and outside the play offs, to hit the post and come second on GD.

They said yesterday their appointment is going to take a couple of weeks, he'll have a bit of a wait, probably still have one before us mind.

They are still signing players though, oddly.

Aye their owners are a pair of strange Scandinavian brothers who buy players via spreadsheets like in Champ Man, it's how they ended up with a striker from the Bulgarian Third Division.

The wagmi twitter account posted....

Everybody said no :( With Steph in the Finals, we're pressing pause for now but will resume our search by June 19th at the latest. Thanks for understanding. #COYR

(Something to do with a netball player in Septic land)

An hour later they posted...

Okay, okay, okay. Apparently, you don't want us to wait until June 19th. Have it your way. Announcement coming soon.

We're gonna have fun with this lot !

Casey
