The appointment hasnt gone down well. Brian Barry Murphy was in for talks on Monday, but talks broke down because he wanted to bring his own staff in, god forbid.

Palios has lost alot of respect from fans for this.

A very good appointment I think and some much needed experience to assist Dawes. Feeling much more positive about next season now.

Happy that we've acted swiftly and decisively. Last season was poor on and off the pitch and the sacking of our technical director who appeared to be a huge hindrance is a very important step. Clearly Flynn had a poor spell at Walsall but did very well at Newport and I have a feeling he'll do well at the County Ground.

Fair play to the board for getting it all sorted so quickly.

At our end of the pyramid you either take a chance on an unproven manager (Morris, Lindsey) or employ someone with experience but with a blemished record.

Yeah, totally agree. We should in theory be much more organised than this season. Hopeful we've learned from the many mistakes made. I assume he'll want to bring in some ex-Newport players, maybe it'll be a Charlie Austin/Padraig Amond front line next season!

Flynn is a good bloke just didnt work here he could do well for you i would have given him the summer to rebuild seemed pointless sacking him with 3 games left.Whoever we bring in the whole footballing side needs a complete overhaul its not working whoever is in the dugout.

Our centre back Farky was linked with a move to Walsall prior to Flynn’s sacking. Rumoured to now be joining Swindon. Flynn signed him on a 3 yr deal from Connahs Quay and his contract is now up. Was a bit of a liability when he first joined but has really improved this season. League One standard.
