Not too late to loan Adams back to us.

Please ignore him, he is a troll. I don't think any match going Bury fans will have a bad word to say about Adams thus far. A few said he was our best player Tuesday, that despite being played out of position.

Too early to be wanting Yates out imo. People seem to be forgetting just how many injuries we've got at the moment, especially in midfield where we're down to out bare bones and forced to persist with some properly shite players who otherwise wouldn't be playing. Let's be realistic, we were always going to struggle in a higher division with one of the smallest budgets. Even our team from last season wouldn't have been able to out-football teams in this league like we did in non league. So I personally don't mind the change in style but maybe that's just because I am strangely satisfied by a good long throw :bg1:

Rovers got off to a poor start last season due to a mix of factors including poor recruitment, but stuck with Mellon, who was able to turn things around. Much harder to do in the FL, with the shorter transfer period.

Far too early for Macc to be considering getting rid of Yates imo. Think given time, he can turn them into a difficult to beat side. Those managers who’ve already had game time last season to remedy their failings are more at risk, but still too early to get rid unless things are looking hopeless at this early stage.

Macclesfield with the squad they came up with and budget it was obvious they'd be battling the drop, if they can finish 22nd this season it'll have been a success and something they can build on.

Someone else will be getting sacked tomorrow. After Lee Johnson unsurprisingly slates Cheltenham for sacking his dad someone tweeted from the clubs account - presumably in error:

Taylor-Moore looked a decent prospect when he was on loan at Bury in 2017. Was a big presence in our 5-3-2 which just about kept us up.

He wasn't all that bad for us in fairness. Made a couple of bloopers, but no worse than most of the rest of the awful defence.

Apparently Slade is only there due to an increase in Request a Bets. You can only hope.

Haha can just imagine:

Agent phone call to Sam jones: ‘Sam Cheltenham are interested in you’.

Sam Jones: ‘ Nice one, any idea who their new manager might be?’

Agent: ‘Russell Slade’.

(Phone hangs up)...........

I wouldn't be too happy with most of those names if I were a Robins fan. Most are either unproven or have recently been shit in this league.

Cotterill, Bowyer and Holloway by far the best options on paper, not sure how likely any of them are but if it was me I'd push the boat out to get one of them in.

Cheltenham don't have a bad squad, they won't go down and whoever gets the job will be given time to sort them out without too much pressure for instant success with most of the Eisa money still to spend. Could be an attractive job.

Appears Nolan has just been sacked.
Steve Chettle and Mark Crossley in temp charge.

Shaken he left, ws doing a good job.

Left county in the relegation zone, where they were when he started.

Biggest spenders in the league and you have probably chucked it all away now.

Surely that’s 5 games too early though?

It is, we quoted basically throwing automatic promotion last season away, but not sure you can really bring that into it.

Gary Bowyer was at our last home game and will probably be the immediate favourite.

Had to go really. The statement from the club said it wasn’t just about this season, but about the piss poor results from the whole of this year (since Ryan Yates left in fact).

I think he’ll always be welcomed back for 2017, but his cards were marked after yesterday’s indescribably limp second half.

Alternatively, 31 points from the last 26 games considering the amount of money that has been spent doesn't suggest he would be getting it right any time soon.

Bowyer would be a good appointment I think, perhaps if Notts knew they could bring a manager of that caliber in it encouraged them to sack Nolan. It's very risky though, they haven't given him long enough this season to say that all his good work last season counts for nothing and now after spending all that money they have to appoint a manager who'll have to work with the players they have.

You can view it both ways tbh and make a good argument but it’ll have to be impressive spinzone from the Chairman and club after all the positive talk just one month ago. The biggest complaint of KN during his relatively successful time at Meadow Lane is he was very slow to pick up on obvious mistakes/weaknesses

Saying that bringing in the ‘not getting automatic promotion’ after all the Chairman said about 3 season project is a piss take.

Stability is overrated anyway lol

With any departure the immediate replacement kinda justifies it or not. All depends who we bring in

Can't argue with the decision but am disappointed for him, he always came across as an earnest man doing his best. Two very bad transfer windows did for him, spent a lot on young unproven players when what we needed was some experience whose legs hadnt gone.
You could also argue the refereeing decisions in the play offs went against him too.
Bowyer looks likely, fans will clamour for Cotterill I would certainly want to interview Simon Grayson if he were interested.

Way too soon, but if Bowyer has expressed an interest then it's more understandable. He'd work wonders for County. He was brought up in Nottingham as his Dad played for Forest and his daughter is at university there, so I can definitely see him having am interest. But I get the feeling he wants a longish break after the crap he had to put up with at Blackpool.

Steve Chettle and Mark Crossley are the only coaches left in the building both ex Forest, both played with Bowyer.
I'd be surprised if it isn't Bowyer by Monday as the loan window closes very soon and we need at least two, maybe three players and we don't have a Director of Football type employee to sign players.

You can't come up to a new division with higher quality teams and keep playing amazing football.
I bet you can if you sign/keep the right players and put them in their correct positions!

Now winning games by trying to play the same style at a higher level is a different challenge.

Don’t quote me on this but I reckon our form since January is worse than theirs. We haven’t won away this calendar year and we have a manager that doesn’t even try to win away. That said, Aspin has only (sort of) just put this team together so he’s going to get at least half a season.

Got to be Sol Campbell’s job?

Harry Kewell is the bookies' favourite and his odds are still shortening, someone must have heard something
