Done absolutely sod all of any note at all since a few months with us nearly ten years ago!

Not sure any of the bookies favourites listed have achieved much tbh

Kewell, Ferguson, Saunders, Appleton, Curle, can all go swing

Didn’t Bowyer leave Blackpool citing personal problems? Usually suggests that he himself, or an immediate family member is unwell or something.

He used that excuse to get out of his contract. He left Blackpool because of the shitstorm he had to deal with behind the scenes, like losing all of his best players for free and having to pay for training pitches out of his own pocket. However he did suggest he might want a short break away from the game.

Cotterill is very overrated. County are either going to have to spend big or hire an upcoming manager. It’s far too early in the season to be doing this!

It affects us though, cos we're the mugs who have to suffer the BACKLASH.

Now you'll probably magically turn into Barcelona in time for next week instead of being cannon fodder.

Most of them thought they were barcelona before this ,deluded fans

Try telling a Cheltenham fan that Cotterill is overrated.

In League's 1 and 2 he's had nothing but success - he's managed three clubs at this level, us (three promotions in 5 years from the Southern League-Division 2), Notts (Champions of League 2) and Bristol City (Champions of League 1).

It's what Cotterball (tm - Stoke fans) is all about. He makes players believe in themselves and gets that extra 10-20% out of them. His direct style suits this level of football. Unfortunately, for him, you need more to succeed in the Championship and he just doesn't have it.

If we had a vacant managerial position I’d take Cotterill.

I forgot about Cotterill’s success at Bristol City to be fair.

My big worry with him is that he’s very much in the Nolan (until recently anyway) mound of wanting to be direct and strong. Having signed this obviously talented but a bit flaky squad, I kind of feel like we’re going to have to find someone who favours that kind of player and knows how to get the best from them.

Has Nolan been let down by the players though? I wonder if these players brought in for big fees and wages upset the dressing room?

It's all bizarre how it's gone this wrong so early, I did predict County just outside the play-offs due to Nolan limitations in my eyes to be fair - Could see it a mile off.

I think Curle is a better than average L2 manager to be honest, you could do much worse.

Noticed a board director has stepped down, The Alan Hardy Show? He's obviously a twat, maybe it's starting to show.

Don't think it's their wages, I just don't think they can play the type of football we wanted to play.

The plot has thickened. A director has resigned saying he cannot influence decisions.

Thickens further. Rumours as I’ve alluded to that Nolan hadn’t been making all the decisions being repeated

Another director of Notts has removed it from his twitter bio....

Hmm a director has left the club and Darren Fletcher has removed Notts County from his bio on Twitter.
Add to that Adam Collin says that Nolan had not been able to make all the decisions.
Hardy playing “Football Manager 2019” I guess.

Collin probably alluding to the fact Nolan wanted to keep him but Hardy didn’t offer him a new deal which is fair enough, he’s the money man and Collin was rumoured to be on a ridiculous wage. I couldn’t see Nolan accepting it if Hardy tried to meddle too much in selection or tactics - Nolan is hardly a wallflower.

Not sure that director leaving is necessarily a bad thing, having thought about it - he had several pictures on his Twitter account out drinking with Nolan, and they even looked to have gone on holiday with the same group in the summer. I'm not sure that's a healthy relationship between a director and a manager.

How Hardy comes out of this depends entirely on his next move. If we manage to land someone like Bowyer (or even a Darren Ferguson), i'd be willing to accept that he's made a very brave decision, potentially losing friends and directors of the club in the process. We shouldn't really repeat rumours on here, but every Notts fan will know what i'm talking about in saying that it may not just be a football related decision.

If we end up with Chettle as permanent manager then he's obviously playing a glorified game of Football Manager, on the other hand, and can do one.

As strange as it sounds I think Cooper at FGR might be under pressure if they are still fumbling around the bottom 5 in Decemeber.

Otherwise, Flitcroft - Mansfield, Bunn - Oldham, Bentley - Morcambe and Brown - Swindon.
Outside bet Sheridan - Cambridge

Mmmmmmm!
No mention of Johnson at Cheltenham or Nolan at County.

FGR unbeaten in five - Cooper is safe.

I know an ex player of Notts who thinks Hardy is an absolute bellend. He reminds me of a poor mans Darrargh MacAnthony.

Cant see Bowyer wanting to come back into management less than a month after leaving Blackpool because of family related issues?

If Nolan’s sacking is partly down to last seasons end then I feel a bit sorry for the guy, I didn’t see any of the play off games but from reading on here weren’t Notts pretty much robbed by the officials in both games?

It's more that we were seven points or something clear of fourth at some point, and really should've gone up automatically. Blaming Nolan for the play-offs would be ridiculous, just one of those things with the refereeing decisions, but it was our own fault that we ended up relying on that.

If by bellend you mean a massive narcissist (rather than tips old people out of wheelchairs) then it’s almost irrelevant to his performance as a football club owner/chairman - if only for the fact he’s competing against 20 other egomaniacs every year - why else buy a lower league football club?

Not surprised some don't like Hardy, he does come across a bit of a bellend mouthing off on social media etc. I think club owners should try and show a bit more class then that.
Haha I like what you did there Chris, someone will take the bait I’m sure. :2thumb:

Hardy is a bell on twitter but it doesn’t bother me if he’s delivering success on the pitch, which he has done really until this season. Plus most lower league owners are bells/borderline narcissists - as mentioned above, they generally aren’t in it for philanthropic reasons. Vince, the Radfords, Fenty, the Smurf, that Swindon guy, they have all had their proper cringe moments.

Anyway, looks like it will be Kewell. What can you tell us, Crawley fans? What’s his style?

Yeah, I’d say a majority. They ain’t losing money, that’s for sure. If they’re giving money to the club in the way of loans, you can be sure the interest they are charging is extortionate.

It’s nice to think of your owner as some old kindly, philanthropist chucking wonga at your pride and joy. Some like to promote that image.
