What manager down here doesn't have his detractors at previous clubs? You'll find plenty of Carlisle fans who didn't think much of Curle, and you know all too well what Swindon fans think of Flitcroft.

As a Hearts 'fan' (I used to live in Edinburgh) I have nothing but respect for Elvis. He was absolutely superb as a player, a brave, no nonsense defender who had a good playing career.

I would imagine there will be some kind of link up with Hearts sending some of their fringe/younger players on loan at Carlisle to get first team experience.

He didn't do so well at Coventry or Fleetwood, but it could be a good fit and I wish him well.

Finally listened to it and in fairness Aspin is being straight as always. He’s rightly pissed off to lose a game we shouldn’t have today down to a couple of pivotal moments that went against us with the harsh red and og but knows he’s on the edge and guess that now depends on Smurf although he’s still in hospital so assume nothing will happen there imminently.

Don’t know if Aspin would know Kewell and Askey were there today either which cranks the pressure up.

For me we’ve waited too long, unless a manager has been sounded Peterborough style to be hired and hour after Aspin leaving then they’d have no time to bring players in and we desperately need players in immediately as we’ve sent all but one loanee back and sent a few out on loan.

He should of gone after the Oldham game for me or certainly after the Colchester tie.
