Should have been done months ago, but happy Way's finally gone. Neale Marmon who has only been part of the coaching team for a few months will be caretaker. Its a last throw of the dice for us and needed to be done, and gives the fans a massive lift heading into the Newport game. His two year contract extension was an absolute joke, and rumours were that it was a sticking point for the takeover with neither side wanting to pay it off.

It is a shame how its gone for Way, he was a legend as a player but as a manager he has been a disaster.

Unfortunately great club legends do not necessarily make good managers .
Could be the shot in the arm you need .

Could be just the bounce Yeovil needed given the winnable home fixtures they've got coming up against Newport and (especially) Crawley. From a Silkmen perspective we will have to hope this doesn't happen.

Can understand the Glover’s fans thinking anyone’s better than Way, but Neale Marmon seems quite inexperienced in management. It will be interesting to see if he’s able to make any impact.

Micky Mellon is the opposite to the Vale and Yeovil ex-players managing. He divided opinion as a player, but popular in his management role.

We’ve now essentially gone for the Vale legends son instead of the legend themselves!

I would love to see Jerry Gill at Bath City come in as our next manager. He's done an amazing job there and played for us so knows the club. Has lots of contacts from his time at Birmingham.

Was in the frame for our job and I think any League 2 team could do a lot worse.

Top bloke as well.

Finally Way has gone. What an awful manager, he always comes across such a pr*ck.

I see Darrell Clarke is linked with Yeovil job, that would be a hell of a signing if they pulled that off. Can't see it though

Paul Hurst is the favourite but I can't see that one happening.

Mark Yates has rebuilt his reputation at Kiddie recently, he should get it.

Neale Marmon has confirmed he will be in charge for the final 7 games of the season. Then next season he will move to a role of Sporting Director under the new ownership and work closely with a new manager who will be appointed in the summer.

How many clubs are looking for a.new gaffer this close season?

My guess for us is that none of us will have ever heard of him, and he will be foreign

Askey should be confirmed for us in the next few days, contract offered and just some small negotiations to get sorted.

Sol Campbell is the favourite for us in the early running. Wouldn't say no but he certainly wouldn't be a yes man, and you just know that wouldn't work.

Owen Coyle, John Sheridan, harry kewell Steve Evans and Peter Clarke some of the other names.

How inspiring

Decent appointment by Walsall in Darrell Clarke.

One that’s always wanted by Stags fans, he grew up on the ladybrook estate in Mansfield. I’m sure one day it will happen.

Lowe never showed any loyalty as s player, so leopards don’t change their spots etc and he’ll be off, given half a chance. Though in current circumstances understandable. Thought there would be more experienced contenders for the Plymouth job tbh.

Doubt your Chairman will appoint a player he's just released?

By all accounts the job is Sol’s if he wants it.

Despite that fact he did a very good job at Macc when you consider everything else that was going on, I’m still not all that enthused about him.

Regardless, I’ll be much happier when this dick head owner is ousted.

Is Pete Wild still clear he doesn't want it. Probably sensible of him if he's perfectly happy where he is and doesn't want to join that merry-go-round but Oldham did surprisingly well last season considering they went through three managers and Wild seems to have been the one that worked. Would probably have made the playoffs had Scholes never been appointed.

After everything you hear about Oldham from various ex players and managers, Campbell would be better off staying at Macclesfield and consolidating them next season, he'll get offered better because o his name if that's the case this time next year.

Aren’t Macclesfield’s owner equally bad, never get the pay out on time. Oldham owner a headcase. I’d expect better offers to come along for Sol.
