F-I-N-A-L-L-Y been given the go-ahead from EFL to appoint Paul Scholes. Hope it was worth the wait!

Oldham and Salford will not be permitted to make transfers between them while Scholes is involved with both clubs.

Dave Kevan has been a good coach for years Vale fans. Played and coached and briefly temporarily managed us during Svens year in charge.
Ex Stoke but don't hold it against him.

Sorry to burst your positivity, but it's a joke this has been allowed. What happens if Salford come up next season?

Oldham are now in search of their third manager for the season.

Will be interesting to see what Oldham fans make of this, but from the outside, it seemed like he hadn't got a clue and was in way over his head. One win from 7, that being against a poor Yeovil side. Not sure what parametres had changed that forced his resignation, but my initial reaction is that he's bottled it.

This is absolutely hilarious.
What a joke.
Reckon JJ is right, complete bottle job.

This is League 2 , there aren't facilities like Carrington or brilliant technical players .
Comedy gold.

Reads to me like once again Oldham’s chairman is getting involved and interfering.

We train at Carrington mate. We also have Danny Mayor in our side.

the one thing that stands out is that every team who hasn't changed manager is having a decent/half decent season so far.

Is that because of the stability, or is just it that there's no reason to change a manager if you're having a good season? No doubt more the latter.

Reading what Scholes has been subjected too I don't blame him.

We've already played a Crawley side with a sack the manager/new manager bounce so I don't want it twice in a season when we rock up there on Saturday!

Strange if that's the case, Evans usually likes to manage at a place where he can splash the cash on lots and lots of players. Kid in a sweet shop analogy is very fitting to him, along with many other sayings.

Possibly too late but who knows, new manager bounce blah blah blah.

Strange timing as surely they didn't expect much yesterday

It’s pretty incredible he has lasted as long as this. Problem is due to their previous inaction getting rid of him it’s probably too late for any new manager to make any notable difference.
