Rumours that Carl Fletcher is going to go to our board and ask to bring in his own backroom staff, as he doesn't get on with one or two that we already have.

Part of the package was for anyone taking our job, that because of last summers circumstances was that you had to work with the backroom staff already in place.........

This isn't going to end well - If Ross Embleton or Danny Webb are relieved of their duties then the fans will turn on Fletcher and our board very, very quickly.

Then again - This is why managers like to bring in their own coaching staff.

Watch this space.................

Hopefully they’ll just punt him. He knew the conditions of taking the job. Really don’t understand why Danny Webb wasn’t given a chance.

Alot of rumours going round today that Fletcher has fallen out with alot of the backroom staff and players already.

I think we're going to stick with him, but all has not been well behind the scenes - Which further explains our terrible performance Saturday and Fletchers terrible interview.

If this is the case, its surely better for all parties if we just go our seperate ways now. If the squad aren't playing for him or fully behind him, then we're not going to get many points at all, let alone wins.

Watch this space.

To be fair, Orient won three on the bounce in the league before they appointed Fletcher, four unbeaten after Embleton confirmed he would be stepping down imminently.

Former Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips one of those in the frame for the Morecambe job. Co-chairman has come out today and revealed they've whittled down their shortlist to two.

I was (very amusingly) replying to GodsGifts' double identical message. Of course he deleted one leaving me exposed and clumsy.

Looks like Derek Adams to be appointed for us later today.

Derek Adams appointed on a 2 and a half year deal, didn't expect that but I'm delighted. What happened in his last season at Plymouth for it to all go wrong chaps?

Blimey, a bit surprised by that. And Adams moaned our budget was small in league one.

However, he has done it on a small budget before - Ross county.

He is a hard man to like, but he will make you difficult to beat.

I am genuinely surprised you got him, think you are banging above your weight in doing so. I know there are a lot of Greens who are very anti-Adam’s because of last year, but bottom line is he is a good manager and knows the league. But I still can’t work out why you are attractive to him.

Good luck, I suspect that you will squeeze up the league a bit with him in charge. But don’t bother expecting warmth back from him, and I literally could never understand a word he said.

I expect a lot of ex-Argyle players (Jervis) to join you January and next pre-season - he does have the knack of getting the best out of some players...and they know it.

The post match passive aggressive musings by Adams on Radio Devon after a defeat were a top treat. What’s the radio station up there?

Savvy choice by Adams. Low budget, no expectations. Like Bentley, avoiding relegation is an achievement, do that for a couple of seasons and see if another club will take you. Look at Sol Campbell and to a lesser extent Bentley.

Surprised at that, was fully expecting an internal appointment. Adams is a good manager but, as others have alluded to, he's a bit abrasive and has an impressive tendency to rub people up the wrong way.

The Carlisle fans will be delighted!

I wonder if he'll be going back up to Scotland to manage Hearts!

Bit of a surprise really for them to sack him after a couple of improved performances. It's out of character for our board though perhaps EWM are the ones calling the shots here. It would seem that the defeat in the boycott trophy was an excuse they were waiting for so they wouldn't have to sack him after a win but even so, he'll be the only manager ever to be sacked for being knocked out of that sham of a competition.

It's only good news if we appoint someone better. I'm not one of these who thought that literally any other manager would do a better job, some of our fans are a bit melodramatic in that regard. If we do manage to appoint someone worse and turn the threat of being pulled into a relegation battle into a nailed on relegation then it wouldn't be the first time. Either way, the board won't have anyone to hide behind now, especially since they have time to make the right decision.

Wouldn't mind Jack Ross but no idea if that's a realistic ambition or if I'm just plucking a name of a manager who I think has the right stuff out of thin air.

Funnily enough I think Derek Adams would have gone well at Carlisle. And closer to home for him.

Thats a strange one after a decent performance on Friday. I hope they didn't base i on the tinpot cup result.

Third game in a row we face a club who've sacked their manager just before after MK sacking Tisdale and Newcastle U21's booting Redfearn!
