That would make sense Ball going to Bristol Rovers to work alongside another Ball - Joey Barton.

Looks like McGreal and Gilmartin were in on the Lee Power ‘rip STFC off’ club.

They signed in full knowledge the ownership would change so rocked up for a month, complained that ‘promised signings’ never materialised and then left and now claiming constructive dismissal to get their contracts paid up.

Disgusting fuckers.

Looks like, though, we’ve got some shit hot legal eagle that may well kick them, and Power, right in the hole.

Speaking of BRovers, one of their fans thinks they should swoop for the definitely-interested Kenny Jackett.

There are some seriously deluded fans on their forum. Whatever ‘attraction’ Rovers may have had has been used up times over in the past few years.

I still maintain Wael, or those advising him, are the problem - not the succession of managing failures. I don’t think any of them had a chance from the off. Serious changes at the top are needed. No more rearranging of the deckchairs on The Titanic.

Only way Kenny would leave now IMO would be to a League One side if he’s able to sustain our current form over the coming months.

I must admit it’s a small concern of mine when he joined us - If he was to do well, how quickly would he jump back to a bigger club?

Nigel Adkins at Charlton not exactly pulling up trees right now…..

But it’s only 8 games into a season and a blip in form and injuries are always just round the corner.

Looks like Flynn is moving on. Will be a blow I must say. His assistant Hatswell to take over until end of season.

Some will say its a blow, but others will say thank fuck its obvious that this year he has lost the plot putting together a 30+ squad of players and making 5/6 changes every game and just sitting in the dugout with a could'nt give a fuck attitude.
Me personally i say thanks for what you done and good luck but you are not as good a manager as other people tell you that you are and your man management skills need a 100% overhaul.

A bit harsh but I get where you are coming from. Flynn has had bad spells results wise in every season in charge but generally we've done well season on season, especially financially. Just a bit sad if it ends like this. Flynn doesn't seem the sort to take a spell out of the game so will be interesting to see where his next gig will be. Gas maybe.

His options are very limited seeing as his wife won't leave Newport so bristol rovers would be a good call if they could afford to sack barton which i don't think they can until after the court case.

And then only if he is found guilty.

Did I read that he had several pops at Aaron Lewis in a post match interview within the last week or two?

Strange to say before Flynn has even left that Hatswell has the job till the end of the season. You'd think that whatever they say now his position will be under constant review. If things go south in the next couple of months then I'm sure they won't hesitate to look for an experienced manager.

He's had several pops at a few of the players and in public, which tells you all you need to know about his man management skills.

Seem to remember Flynn had an issue with a DOF being appointed during the summer so not sure if that has just become untenable for him? Done a great job there in fairness.

Probably just a coincidence with the timing but don’t think McCarthy is going to last much longer at Cardiff.

Actually got a feeling Flynn may struggle elsewhere. Dunno why, although Bristol Rovers would seem a match.

Something hasn't been right for awhile. We'll soon find out if this squad is up to anything or not.
Lets hope we get the right replacement in.

Flynn off to Bristol Rovers to get them promoted. Tony Pulis, your home town club is calling:p

I spoke to a Newport fan half hour ago and she said that Flynn was unsackable from their perspective, but that they were surprised he did not go before the season began. They had been waiting for him to go all season. She did feel it strange that he is going after the game tomorrow.

Surprised at Flynn being the first L2 manager departure this season. Will be interesting to see what next for him and the Exiles

Yes, he said he made the same mistake five times at Barrow. Lewis has generally been excellent but he did repeatedly turn into traffic and lose the ball, though I doubt it was that many times.

Another odd twist. Doesn't seem at all clear who instigated it and how the other reacted. Sounds like Flynn suggested it the board shrugged and said 'yeah OK then'.

Flynn: You still want me to take Scunthorpe?
Board: Don't mind, you picked the team already?
Flynn: Yeah mostly
Board: Could do that then, yeah go on.
Flynn: Although I could just leave you my notes
Board: Aye probably best had really
Flynn: see ya then boyos
Board: remember to hand Judith your pass as you leave

Not sure why but Cooper went straight to the top of the bookies list for the Newport job.
