Bradford City is a job flynny would take in a heartbeat! he absolutely loves the club and supporters, the only thing that would stop him applying is the dickhead that runs the club.
I loved him as a player, can’t say I was a fan of his football from what I saw with you. But either way I’d rather him not tarnish his name with us with this clown in charge. Other clubs around the FL don’t understand the state we are in because we don’t protest like a Newcastle, Oldham, Charlton or even Reading atm. We’ve dropped far more than any of them since he bought the club that was on the brink of the championship and if the below statistic doesn’t wake our fan base up we might as well liquidate and go support BPA.

Can we please have someone who plays decent football. Ya know, so we have at least something for when we're in midtable and shite.

Good luck Flynny - went a bit sour at the end but worked wonders overall and unlucky to get shafted in the play-off finals. Held in high regard by most Newport fans I am sure and will always get a warm welcome whenever he returns to Dave.

What can we expect from him formation and playing style wise? What kinds of players does he like in certain positions? I know he likes wing backs and a 3, which we are actually okay to be set up for. Just wondering in terms of midfield wise, does he like a DM and two CM's ahead, three flat, etc...

Same with us, about 1000 are doing what Port Vale fans did to try to force Smurthwaite out but there’s also some who are happy to post “I’m going on Saturday UTI“ for Likes and James Moody retweets and Likes it.

I’m convinced we could be in the bottom half of the Conference North with gates of 800 and these ones will be happy as long as they get their attention.

Seen a few fans on Twitter saying Steve Evans would be a good fit. Would knock a few thousand season ticket sales off straight away.

Steve Evans would be a good fit for the football side of things, but after Adams behaviour Bradford will probably go for someone who’s not going to split the fanbase like Evans.

Seriously though, I am very confident in saying Steve Evans would get you out of this league.

Last season he used Sheehan just in front of the back three playing it out from the back. When fit, Labs was his ball winner in front of Sheehan. First half of season we had Scott Twine alongside on loan, who was exceptional, and latterly Hartigan on loan from Wimbledon. Played decent football till the pitch went in New Year. Roger Stone and Bone Idle sum it up really. Thought of very highly by most at RP but probably should have gone at end of last season as it went a bit sour start of this.

Coughlan been interested in plenty but not managed to get one yet, think he deserves another shot despite how terrible he was for Mansfield. Do well to get another FL club though.
For purely selfish reasons I hope that he doesn’t. He has been a very good expert and insightful commentator on Radio Devon for a few of our away games.

Was Derek Adams the Morecambe Manager that got them promoted and then left to become Bradford City manager? Whilst clearly Bradford are a much bigger club than Morecambe and also you'd think have a bigger potential so you can understand why he did it, but it does show that these kind of decisions can bite you in the arse. Adams will probably rock up at another League 2 side soon enough but I'm sure he regrets not carrying on the good work he was clearly doing at Morecambe.
Adams secured promotion with Ross County, us and Morecambe. Bradford are the first place he has not got promotion.

Steve Evans has history here and won't be anywhere near the list, regardless of his ability.

I'd agree but after his last 2 jobs I'm not sure he's got it in him anymore. He'd love a job like Bradford though with the big fan base, He'd soon get the fans on side with the all the bollocks he repeats when he takes a new club on.

Trust me he would never get our fans onside no matter what he said.

He is hated with a passion here stemming from his antics

He is still hated with a passion by most fans, stemming from his antics at Valley Parade when manager of Creepy Crawley.

Season ticket sales would reduce more than if we had have kept Adams.

Not a chance the club would risk the toxic atmosphere if he was appointed

Good luck Flynny - went a bit sour at the end but worked wonders overall and unlucky to get shafted in the play-off finals. Held in high regard by most Newport fans I am sure and will always get a warm welcome whenever he returns to Dave.

Would have liked to have seen Flynn given an opportunity to manage at a higher level, I think he deserved it after performing miracles at Newport. Looks like there weren't any takers.

Back to square one in some respects for him, at least he'll have the infrastructure in place to take Walsall forward. He seemed fed up with the state of the training facilities by the time he left us although maybe he just had enough after the last play off defeat.

tbh the worst statistic there is that you were formed in the 20th century
Technically we converted to football in the 20th Century and changed our name in 1903, that’s where it comes from. But we started as a Rugby club and started in 1885 when VP was built.

Wellens would be a great fit for Bradford.

I honestly hope they get it right this time - they’ve more than paid their dues in the basement and deserve a proper crack at it.

At this point I’m sort of in the ‘f*ck it’ camp in that it can’t get any worse and let Carbone have a crack at it, we’ve tried past success, we’ve tried up and coming young coach, we’ve tried club legend,

Carbone and Woodgate the only names linked in the media so far, Evans trying to be bigged up by betting firms on Twitter but zero chance that will happen given his previous with us.

Definitely should be up challenging the top 2 tiers. Bradford is a good day out and their fans are mostly sound. Hope the next appointment works out for them

Can't edit as this forum is completely knackered.

Not top 2 tiers but at least high end L1 lower end championship.
