Tisdale and Holloway would have to be strongly in the running you'd think?

Probably No on both accounts. I would say / hope Paul Cook. Maybe Flynn or the Cowley's .

Tisdale 1/5 flynn 8/1 makes scence to go for an out of work manager in these uncertain times, the compensation they would have to pay for flynny with 2 years left on his contract would probably bankrupt rovers.

To think, they just missed out on Sheridan.

Tough luck, there!

Paul Hurst seems to be favourite for the Rovers job now.

Not sure what to make of it. Glad both Dawes and Parky will be kept on as assistant and first team coach respectively given our last 5 games. Time will tell...

Hill has been a good manager at this level. Has been promoted from this league.

Good appointment.

Keith Hill has a tough job on his hands following in the footsteps of Dawes and Parkinson. One of the few bright spots of this f@ckin& awful year was them two managing us.

We have our share of misery holes. Twitter posts don't reflect the majority view. If they did Trump would be happy. Happy we have kept Dawes and Parky on though. Woke up a potential monster.

Supporting Tranmere Rovers prohibits us from handling sharp objects. Drove us all bonkers years ago.

Feels like someone has burst my balloon to be honest.
Its only a contract until the end of the season. As long as he listens to Ian Dawes and Parkys input it should be fine. Lets be honest all he has to do is keep things ticking over. Eagerly awaiting Masi51s view.

Some of the names suggested for Rovers boss were unrealistic, though it seemed like there were discussions with Adkins. Arguably Dawes and Parky should have been kept on after doing so well as caretakers, the counter-view was they might not be able to adapt if things started going wrong. Keith Hill's Rochdale sides played reasonable football and he should at least be able to get us up with the promotion contenders

The amount of times clubs have a good run under a caretaker, appoint them permanently, and completely fall off is ridiculous. I am sure every club has had something like that happen in the last 5 years.

Tranmere have made the right decision, Hill is a good appointment for this level

Feel sorry for you, strange move from what I can see! You’re flying high at the minute, playing some good stuff and picking up points! Not a lot of encouraging comments on the new guy either.

Agreed - Rochdale seemed to always do well in this league and with more resources he should be ok.

Maybe the Bolton experience has put some fans off .

Anyone working at Bolton last season was on a hiding to nothing. Given Hill is from Bolton, he probably thought he could turn things around at his hometown club. But they were a complete state and I couldn't see them staying up given the predicament they were in.

Very good manager at Rochdale. Before he managed them, they'd only been promoted once and had been in League Two since 1974. Hill delivered two promotions and a few top half League One finishes. Something many thought Rochdale wouldn't be doing when they were mid-table in League Two on a perennial basis.

Tranmere could've done so much worse but I believe Hill will do a good job there. To call him washed up is harsh. Things went stale at Rochdale as you'd expect when you keep losing your best players every year and you're struggling to replace them on a low budget. But Bolton were a lost cause and to pin all that on him is ridiculously unfair.

My personal opinion is that every single so called TRFC fan calling Mark and Nicola Palios abusive names on social media is a MORON of the highest order. When they took over the club we were going nowhere but down. They were never going to fix things that 1st season and relegation was almost inevitable but without them the club would probably be either bankrupt or a lower level than Chester and Southport by now. People criticise Man City fans for being up themselves but some of ours would be even more unbearable than LFC tellyclappers if we had money to burn. Shameful idiots.

Klopp or Guardiola wouldnt make some of our fans happy. Not used to working with a small budget would be that excuse for a whinge.
