First half wasnt great - I think both sides had 2 shots each but both were in no danger of rattling the net. 2nd half we were a lot better and probably deserved the win on balance. After 7 straight defeats though it doesnt matter how we won its that we won!

A very happy point against the 12 men of Tranmere and another point closer to safety. Gutting we couldn't turn it in to three as results around us would have made that massive. Still Harvey's unbeaten run goes on. Historically we don't do well at Lincoln but as it is only a tenner on the coach i will travel with faint optimism.

Not sure that is correct. The record for the last 6 matches at SB between Lincoln and Halifax, stretching back to 2000, reads 1 win apiece and 4 draws.

[CHRISTMASSHOPPING]A few going up on the train. Two visits to Gateshead is enough for me.[/CHRISTMASSHOPPING]

I'm not sure why you're obsessed with our away support though.

You know it's shit when a fucking FGR fan is taking the piss

Had to work today so couldn't make it, I would have gone though as it's only 3 hours from Kings Cross.

Only a bit of banter gents.

21 is a fantastic number to take away, just under 5 times what we took to gateshead :)

Surprised at that. Does that include cup competitions? Scratching my head to remember our last win.

Much better from us today, could/should have scored a few more really what with hitting the woodwork three times and Rooney having his penalty saved. We're more effective now playing to Hannah's strengths with Hattersley up there with him, great partnership. Hannah's got 15 goals now.

Dismal effort from Torquay, their goal was only a fluke as well, Andre Wright didn't know he'd scored, turned around thinking it had gone out of play. Credit to the travelling Gulls fans though who were great in fairness, kept going throughout and afterwards.

On to Alty, we're definitely overdue a win against them, feel a bit more confident now.

So you bring more to Gateshead than you do to Woking? Must have been one of your coach freebies, you also had a freebie when you came to us iirc

How about the last time we went there in the Football League? We've always done alright against Lincoln from what I remember. :ds:

Just got back, fuck off Brabin. The man seems genuinely clueless when it comes to tactics. The Halifax goal is well worth a look.

80 minutes of dross ended by one moment of brilliance. We were lucky to still be in it after a great save from Phil Smith 5 minutes before. A wins a win and I'll take it, but Guiseley can feel aggrieved they didn't get the point they deserved.

18 goals for the useless tub of lard Rhead.
Pity the ref didn't know what a penalty was....
Granted we didn't play well at all today.
Where were Mansfield when they had 'that run' to win it??
Still it in but have to defend a lot better and take our chances.
Anyone else had mr Young ref them this season??? Totally clueless and lost control after 10 minutes, shocking!

Fair point! When does Dennis go back?
End of the season. County can agree to a sale in Jan but we have it in the loan deal that he is with us all season unless we agree to release him.

Can someone from Halfax tell what the problem with Hattersley is/was. Since he's been here Ross Hannah has scored 6 in 4 (I think). The Hat is the perfect foil for him.

If that Hirst shot had gone in it more than likely would have been us heading home with the points.
Now Dudley has returned to Bury we have little to no goal threat :(

Yours wasn't too bad, a great finish, the keeper had no chance of saving that.

Did great on loan but failed to ignite when Aspin paid money for him and brought him in. Unfortunately, his ungainly style and lack of pace can look like a lack of effort to the uneducated eye when things aren't going his way, making him an obvious target for the cretins. Towards the end of his time here, he was often sent on late on, when would already look more knackered than the man he was replacing. :dk:

Of course you are ;) It was back in 2001. Since you lot were promoted you've played them twice, a 3-1 defeat and a 1-1 draw last season. There was only one cup game, a 0-0 draw in 2012. The other 3 matches took place in 2000/01/02, so perhaps that's why you can't remember. But like I said before, a 1-4-1 away record at Lincoln over the last 6 matches isn't bad.

Does not score enough for his reputatation but was not helped by a manager (Aspin) who did not know that strikers are supposed to be played in the middle.

Burr's only just come to that realisation himself to be honest after bizarrely trying and then persisting with Hobson on the left wing for us.

Can't fault The Hat so far, he's been excellent, hope it continues.

Well 14 years is difficult to remember for somebody who's memory is as crap as mine. Will have to dig my book out to discover if i was there though i suspect i wasn't.
