We can't get enough of these clean sheets now, can we?

Good, solid win on the road. Happy days.

Well, bugger me, a 1-0 away win. The first since, er...

I'm assuming the mantra was FEED THE RHEAD?! Interesting that we replaced Stanley with Hearn with 20 to go - was that due to injury?

How does Guiseley's ground in any way meet the ground grading for this league?
Got until next season I think.

Utterly comfortable, we were streets ahead of them. Which means Guiseley are going to struggle.

Onto Chester.

We looked nervous first half but played with more belief in the second. No cutting edge up front has cost us yet again.

Stanley didn't look happy when subbed but calmed down soon after not like the incident with Hill last season.
Good result and goal.
Onto two more away games before our next home game on the 17th.
We have Chester and Welling.
Waterfall and Howe had their best games so far this season, Wood played well again.
Beevers pure comedy for the throw late on!

How has Callum Howe been getting on?

I would agree with that assessment. I thought that Guiseley were the better team in the second half and it would have been a bit of a travesty if the disallowed goal had been allowed to stand as that was pretty much the only attempt Lincoln managed. Maris looked lively, pity he is only a loanee, could develop into a really decent player. I'm looking forward to the game at our place in a week or so, should be an entertaining one.

George is improving with every game, According to our manager he is very well thought of at Barnsley.
If we don't start scoring soon we are going to slide down the league. The early fixtures have been kind to us and we really should have picked up at least six more points at this stage.

Why are you lot so pessimistic all the time? You're like bullish Grimsby's downtrodden cousins ffs.

Don't mind fans being realistic, but having experienced the apathetic atmosphere on the last couple of visits to Sincil Bank, it will make it very difficult for you to build the kind of momentum you need to sustain a promotion push. You're a big club at this level, why shouldn't you be contenders?
Maybe a match with Forest Green just isn't anything to get excited about. :bdick:

You've got more than you expected and you won your cup final, what more do you want? :ds:

A Welcome Home Game for us today as we host Stalybridge Celtic. A win today will confirm our decent ish start to the season. A defeat? Well, you cant get more average than 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats!

Tough game today. Historically, Barrow have a terrible record at Altrincham, 4 wins in 38 games according to our website. Bit different now though.

Boing! Boing! Rheady Rheady. Absolutely chuffed for the fella. A great lad, who the opposition hate and wrongly class as a donkey. He wins everything in the air at both ends of the field and has much neater feet than he's ever given credit for; though I never thought he'd have 10 in 14 in him.

Many of our fans were disappointed to see him leave in the summer, as he's a bit of a cult figure, however, he's quickly surpassing that at Lincoln.
Good luck to the Imps, don't think it's any secret that our fans would prefer to see them and Grimsby back up in to the league over the rest of the division, purely for selfish geographical reasons.

We need to bounce back after our poor run, and although today wont be easy if we get back to our best we should have enough to win.

Grimsby will probably set up fairly cautiously, which is a shame because with our pace on the break I would prefer for them to come at us. Good to have Pipey back from suspension, and he'll hopefully be joined in the starting xi by Wedgbury and Parkin, who were left out last week but are big game players. KMB needs to show a bit more commitment as well, he's got ability but seems to lack interest at times and doesn't track back or challenge for 50/50's enough, which is getting a bit frustrating

A win today would set us up nicely for the live TV game on Wednesday, where we'll need some form behind us given our usual efforts when we're on the box.

Got to be winning today against 'the likes of' Southport. An early goal would help massively to bring some confidence back. Have to take advantage of a favourable amount of fixtures this month.

Because we don't have any money. Our budget is basically at the highest its ever going to be, around £500k, unless a Fenty/Vince etc come in. We're miles off being able to compete, budget wise.

A £500k budget is pretty sizeable at this level and should be challenging for the play offs? There are probably only 7 sides with higher than that I'd guess (Grimsby, Forest Green, Eastleigh, Tranmere, Cheltenham, Gateshead and Wrexham) and then there will be several teams with a similar budget (Bromley, Barrow). If you were managed well, a play off spot is well within reach.

Yes, it is. I dream of where we'd be with an extra £200k. Utterly depressing to see clubs waste their far superior budget on a mid-table finish.

£500k is enough to get a mid table finish at this level, you'd need to have a miracle worker manager to do any better really.

But if £500k was the 8th largest budget (and of course I don't know this is 100% correct), surely you should be coming around the region of 8th ie. 5th to 12th - which means you could, possibly not should, challenge for the play offs?

Grimsby win and a few good results for the chasing pack could make things interesting come 5pm. No reason why the likes of Lincoln can't cement a play-off push if they keep this form up, winning games like last night's are the difficult ones. Grinding out a result is the sign of a good side!

EDIT: The difficulty is keeping it up, see the #MaccMachine2015
