I hope this 'FGR momentum' ChrisFGR spoke about carries on through their entire play off campaign.

Good point for them today against one of the form teams of the division.

Eastleigh really are awful. Drawing 0-0 against 23rd who had 10 since the 25th min.

If we could actually score goals we'd be better than Barca*.

How any team can fail to score from about 6 open goals I don't know.

*not really

Must win for Gateshead on Monday now otherwise they are out of the picture.

Out of it anyway. Too many teams in a better position. Keep thinking Braintree's part time team has to break under fixture congestion but they seem to keep grinding our 1-0 wins. Dover more likely to falter, with ourselves there to pounce if they do. Eastleigh hard to judge and surely Wrexham have too many hard games.

Cheltenham ease back into the driving seat then. Considering we have 10 games to play compared to their 6, I'm not confident. I won't discuss the title until we play them next week.

Not at our best today but hardly surprising with 5 1st team regulars out injured. On to Aldershot Monday.

You really need to leave the play offs to us 'big clubs'.:gr:

You're in a great position and really show no sign of letting up, very impressive. Obviously I'd rather we get there than you but if the play off final ends up being Braintree versus Forest Green I know who ill be supporting!

37' PEN & RED - Farman blocks shot, Hughes fires loose ball at Wood. Ref deems it hits his arm, Wood off, pen to hosts...

Lincoln City FC ‏@LincolnCity_FC
45+1' GOAL - Tranmere 2-1 #Imps pinball in the box, the flag stays down and Kirby prods home

Lincoln City FC ‏@LincolnCity_FC
87' GOAL - Tranmere 3-2 #Imps - out of nothing for the hosts as Mekki nets via what looked to be a deflection

Best twitter account going.
As good as BT's commentary!!!

Very frustrating game. Never really got going. Credit to aldershot, thought they defended well and they had a few decent chances. Cheltenham really are in the driving seat now, it would take some miracle if we can overtake them.

Onto Bromley, will be travelling down Sunday night. Hopefully Wrexham do us a favour and roll over Cheltenham

Sorry Lincoln, thought you played tremendously well with 10 men and deserved something from the game. After Lincoln levelled for the second time Tranmere didn't look like scoring again, Wicked deflection for the winner that keeps our season alive, just.

We've scored 22 goals in 2016, 21 of which have been scored by Holman and Wright. Routine win for us today, Holman's first was an absolute cracker and Haynes's free kick for Boreham Wood wasn't half bad either. Big shout out to Aldershot too!

Yep, bit disjointed and Shots came closer to scoring if anything, particularly that time Lafayette did well to shoot on the turn. Too much sideways stuff with no outlet forward. I'd have subbed Parkin first as I thought Kieffer was showing more. Parkin still has those odd good touches and bits of skill but he's not up with play most of the time.

I'll be shocked if FGR go up. Poor team that only had 1 decent chance when Brett Williams headed over from 6 yards out (he bleeds red and blue). We were solid at the back and created the better chances, but with our recent form I'm content with a point.
Was there a ban on noise in the home end today? Genuinely can't remember you guys making any noise except for a late penalty shout? Mad to think that when we were in FGR's position when we went up in 08, we'd be getting 4500-5000 for home games at the business end of the season. The whole club just stinks of non-league and I look forward to my visit to the New Lawn again next season :)

You can't go around saying things like that. Forest Green are the model club and should be 26 points clear if the referees of this league weren't against them.

Just back, good day out.

Have to say I really enjoyed pre-match beers in the Village Inn, then up at the Green Man, where we sat with some FGR fans. Good company and a nice club to visit again, I look forward to going next year.

Have to say on the pitch FGR were hugely disappointing, when a team sets up with Clough and Racine at the back and Parkin and Moore up top there's only one way they are going to play. No need for a midfield today. There were some good players in their side, if only Pennock would let them play. Watching him on the side waving his arms telling them to launch it was great, right up our street. Oliver was picked purely to nullify Parkin, which he did with ease. The other thing that surprised me was how poor the pitch was, is this the reason FGR hoof it perhaps, seemed really dry and bobbly, and both teams looked like they struggled with it.

Routine win for us after a wobbly spell when we dropped some points. Frustrating as we really do have the best team in this league but threw away silly points at Eastleigh, Welling and Braintree.

Wrexham away on Tuesday is going to be big, win that and surely we do not slip up from there on in.

Shhhhh don't tell them that.
I think Barnwood has also forgotten that they've got a tough game against Grimsby next Friday too.

Not forgotten that but we can lose one game and still win the league from here Mr Scooty. I fancy us to beat Grimsby but I would be happy to bring a point back at your place.

This will be the fourth time he has taken charge of us this season. Haven't we suffered enough?
Our man was pulled down after he'd rounded the keeper just before half time at 0-0 at Aldershot. Should have gone in 1-0 up against 10 men, but that clown gave a goal kick.

Says it all really. Often seen Pennock actually applaud players for hoofing the ball out of play for no reason when under no pressure whatsoever, he is a poor man's Tony Pulis. Today was no different. You looked well organised and tough to break down, and Luke Oliver looked comfortable and assured. Not sure what that says about our performance, but fair play to you maybe Smith has sorted you out at the back.

Our groundsman left last week, you can probably see why....

Well today was one of those strange days. Not the easiest journey to Nailsworth with both the M3 and M4 blocked, we went on the M3 and got stuck for over an hour. Then just as we were about 400 yards from the ground something failed on the coach, we managed to get to the ground but that was it for the coach, so we had to get a replacement sent up.

As for the game, from our point of view it was job done - we came for a point and took a point. After Chester and Altrincham I have absolutely no problem with that and while it's never nice to see the team set up for a point it was a good point for us. FGR played right into our hands by lumping the ball in the air to Parkin and Moore, who were well marshalled by Beckles and Oliver (who was my MOTM). I must also say thank you to Brett Williams for missing the free header from 6 yards out late on, it was nice to see him showing loyalty to his favourite club ;)

After the game we were told that the coach wouldnt arrive until 6pm (it was actually 7pm before it arrived), but I would like to say a massive thank you to all the bar staff and the steward (not sure if he was the head steward) who looked after us really well and kept the bar open longer than usual until the replacement coach arrived to take us home - FGR get a lot of negative press for the way they go about things on the pitch, but their staff did more than they had to do after the game (it wasnt their fault our coach broke down) which was really good to see.

Agree with this, Rovers second best to ten men for a large part of the game and only a great save by Davies from a McNulty miskick and a lucky deflection meant we didn't lose.

Did we watch the same same game? We're no world beaters but to say we didnt deserve to win is even negative for you Boz.
