Embarrassing Chesterfield players surrounding the ref to get someone sent of proper desperation tactics from an average side.

I thought surrounding the ref after every decision was the norm in this shit show of a league? Certainly the impression i've got whilst watching the games this season. We need to do more of it.

Maybe we got lucky with your penalty shout but when it happened live i got the impression your player was always looking to go down.....will wait to see it again. It's been long over due though, having some luck, first penalty we've had under Rowe....some 30+ games.

Average side?? Clearly we're an average side....we're just about clinging on to 7th, don't think anyone has claimed we're the national league's answer to Man City though to be fair.

Boo fecking hoo. Take the loss.

Both teams need the win I reckon.
Genius!! :fl::fl::fl::fl:
It could end up being a really end to end open game

Well will it or won't it? You've covered your arse both ways there- if it isn't, you can say you only said it could, and if it is you'll say you called it right. Get off the fucking fence, which is it to be! :dk:

I can take the loss when we get outplayed like yesterday but the ref left a very sour taste, lucky for us it didn’t mean anything table wise our season was over in Feb. Officials at this level are horrendous and not a game goes by without a massive clanger, we should have had a penalty in our last 3 games all stonewall and it’s cost us 3 points and had we had those extra four points who knows.

We’ve not been good enough all season to make play offs, barely good enough for mid table except for the last 2 months or so but only then it’s been against teams that have pretty much given up bar 2 or 3, jury’s still out in McMahon but he is running out of time and no play off position come Xmas he will be gone so a big summer for him recruitment wise he can’t afford to get it horribly wrong like last summer.

Can’t believe how tight it is, Eastleigh’s to throw away for that last spot and we can upset Wrexham if we get a few back fit. Big last game for lots of sides, good luck. Stockport of Pools for play offs easily best two sides bar Sutton we’ve faced in our games.

First victory of the day to Sutton, we've had to bench one of our midfield three in Mark Shelton as he struggles to play on plaggy pitches because of a previous injury, David Ferguson who has most of our assists this season is also benched??

Might be the same reason don't want to risk him crocked for the play offs? Good chance for Angol anyway. Donaldson getting picked must be his first start in ages? Doesn't inspire but we will see.

The Chesterfield fans on here get very excited when they win, I wouldn't take it personally.

As for next Saturday I would imagine its more likely you beat us than us winning. Those last minute goals have really tipped the balance towards us losing out. If we do make the play offs I expect us to lose the first game so its not a massive problem if we don't makenit- I think we are all looking for next season to be the one where we compete, we just haven't been good enough against the top teams this season, amd dropped too many points against promotion rivals.

We’re stinking the house down here, seemingly playing against the conditions but not playing well, unlucky to hit the post but we’ve been second best.

And the keeper fumbles one into the goal

Need to hook Donaldson for Williams or Molyneux, he’s shot to pieces, midfield is non existent.

Hartlepool looking a bit ragged so far, keeper won't be happy with the goal.

Been really poor just haven't got a foothold at all. Keeper is all over the shop, what a choice him or Ravas, christ. Killip is a big miss.

Big improvement needed 2nd half.

Don't think you're out of this. You get level and they will get edgy Sutton and start thinking they have to chase the winner.

Does anybody ever get a foothold on that Sutton pitch? They play to it brilliantly. This game is a carbon copy of when we went to Sutton. I came away convinced Sutton would win it.

Are you having a wobble, looked a much better team against us a few weeks ago.

Sutton are clearly a good team but fuck my arse and call me Sally the gamesmanship from them is incredible, they just chuck themselves to the floor on every bit of contact, they’ll have the game done away with.

Worst performance I’ve seen for a long time, front two haven’t had a kick and the midfield have hardly strung any decent passes together, really poor from us.

If you’re not in form going into play offs it’s tough going. Not seen anything from Pools here that suggests they’ll win it but they were superb in both the games we played them.

Well played Sutton, good luck in the league.

He's been very good this year, obviously had an absolute stinker today, hasn't helped that we had to change formation and go to a back four, he's been tortured by their lad who is rapid.

Utterly deserved win for Sutton, best team from first to last whistle, it would've helped if we had put up any sort of resistance but we were awful, really rotten, not a single player can come out of that with any credit.

Congratulation to the champions, enjoy the football league, over the course of the season you've deserved it.

Barely any reaction from the Sutton fans, a smattering of polite applause from most in the ground.
