I feel like I missed some drama somewhere.
Let's get Roly!
Holy fuck...
Its Roly.
I never eat pig, cos a pig is cop.
I'm just gutted that we'll never find out the results of TFF's top 100 books.
From LF's posts on the Facebook page (which no longer seems to exist) I got the distinct impression that it wasn't a co-ordinated admin decision, but an individual throwing their toys out of the pram. The last thing I saw, prior to it going offline, was Villaboy weirdly taking umbrage at TB's thread about establishing a new forum. Make of that what you will I suppose...

If that's it (and I rather hope it isn't) then it's a truly shitty way for the forum to go. I hope everyone manages to make their way to this place.
Leaves a real sour taste if the site doesn't come back up (LF on FB said it would be back up in 12 hours but I have my doubts). By all accounts most of the admin seemed pretty 'for' people actively seeking a TFF replacement on the board itself. Whoever decided to take the forum down early has come across as a spiteful, egotistical c*** to be honest, fragmenting a community that has been built over a decade and for no reason other than their inflated sense of importance. What do they gain from preventing people move on to somewhere new together? Stopping people from constructing a dance floor on the grave of a fucking football forum?
The way I see it is that they had been planning on evacuating for a while but didn't have a good enough pretext. The shoutbox incident gave them one. All the admin bar Pagnell were barely on it anymore. Rather than let the new guard take over, they decided to nuke it because apparently their skewed sense of nostalgia is more important than the preservation of a community that encompassed thousands of other people.
