If this was a practical joke, its hilariously backfired. Whoever made the decision misread the depth of bad feeling that I understand there has been lately.

Perhaps someone's offended that the preparations to jump ship happened so quickly, not to mention the flak they started to receive, and now they've pulled the plug for real.

Got to say I echo the thoughts already posted that it would have been nice to have more notice to give the TFF community a chance to organise somewhere else to congregate. When there were ominous signs about TFF closing I thought about making that kind of thread there myself, only to hold fire because of assurances from the admins that TFF was "alive and well for the time being".

I don't know the ins and outs of why TomF or whoever owned the forum has decided to close it so I'm not going to second guess their decision. I know that there are running costs for servers that run a forum with that level of activity, I don't know if it was self-sustaining with the adverts and memberships. As far as I could see though, there wasn't any ingratitude from the members of the forum at large. All I saw was one argument between Smat and Pagnell, that seemed to escalate, and that seems like a minor thing to close the forum down over.

Anyway, well done and thanks to Saddlerrad that this forum was here as something of a back up. Hopefully, all the lost TFF members find it. Got to say it was a rough 5 minutes between finding TFF dead this morning and finding this place. It seems like some kind of blanket TFF closure with the facebook groups taken down as well (I found this forum through twitter - never thought I would say this but thank you twitter and whoever is behind that particular account). I'll make a vid with the link to this forum on my TFFSurvivor youtube account, probably won't help much but every bit counts I guess.

Also agree, with the posts saying that all this could breathe new life and energy into the TFF community. Already getting a lot of laughs and entertainment from reading some of the posts on here.

Just a quick question to people now...

1) If TFF re-opens, then what is the plan? Do people want to go back there - even if they have done the upgrade and/or this was a joke?

2) Are people going to stay here or use both?

3) If it does re-open and it only stays open until the end of March then I think it would be good if everyone can spread the word as far and wide as possible via PM's and so on - keeping in touch.


Either way - I hope this is used as an alternative for people should TFF re-open.
