However, this is probably my favourite football song of all time
It's probably my favourite song of all time too.

That Basingstoke one is amazing. Will go through the others when I get time (looking forward to hearing them all) but in the meantime, here's our effort from the 80s. Sounds like some period game show theme tune, to me.

The Aberdeen effort is excellent, I like the bits of self-deprecating humour behind it.
The Danish song is good as well, I like the 80s funky bass bit and it's catchy as well. I like the Canada effort as well.
Huddersfield's is just a bit pedestrian compared to those three.

Mansfields is quite catchy as far as footy song go, and it even has a guitar solo included around 1:10.

Basingstoke if bloody awful!

Our effort from circa 1837:

Here is our effort - not sure when it was. Is quite old though. The teams come out to it.

We had a song for one of our FA Trophy finals... the first one in 1999 I believe. It was played on the old Wembley PA system before kick off. I don't think it's online & the only thing I can remember of it was that it was major cringing stuff.

While I'm here though, I do think a video of our goalkeeper jumping in to the Bognor fans for a punch up after the game the other week should sit nicely.

Any idea what made him do that?

To be fair, football players do take a lot of stick from the crowd at times, though most of them laugh it off and don't go into full ruck mode!

God knows. There's claims of a Bognor fan punching him during the game, claims of racist abuse (our goalkeeper is white though, so not sure how that would have to have panned out), other stories here & there. Bognor have been cleared by the FA investigation of any wrongdoing though so it looks like we may be in a spot of bother.

Yeah I'd heard he'd been punched during the game.

He must obviously have been provoked to some extent - unless you're a complete mentalist, you don't jump the hoardings for a punch up - but there's little, if anything, which should elicit that kind of response. Bit of a shame as he's a good 'keeper at this level and I think (?) our current longest serving player.

Yup joined us in our first season back in the Isthmian Prem in 08/09. The only other player with any kind of service worth mentioning is Aaron Goode, who made his debut for us in 2007 when he was on loan from QPR but then went off to random local sides before coming back to us for good(e) in 2011.

That Maidstone one is definitely modelled on those easy listening James Last compositions that were used for the Big Match in the 70s.

Club songs:

It's normally played just before the players come out of the tunnel. "Cos under Brian Hall it's the appliance of science." :ffs:

Is it wrong that I really enjoyed this one?

Obviously the correct answer is yes. But c'mon, it features some KILLER LINES

"We go to places as far away as Barrow/One place we always try to win and that's Harrow"
"If you like a drink go to the players' bar/Oh no, let me think, we haven't built it so far"

Wonderful.

Those lines are why the song is fully warranted on this thread.

Those are all wonderful. The Wealdstone one especially.

I'm perhaps taking this thread wildly off topic by moving out of non league... However...

Aberdeen

This is ace, need to come back to it.

It's also reminded me of one of the true classics:

Oh the Highland League
Has fifteen teams
And some of them have done well in the cup
Oh the Highland League
Runs on limited means
But attendances are slowly on the up

The band is actually I, Ludicrous. The name Can Cans on that vid is the nickname for Forres Mechanics. Seems that Fort William are actually winning a few this season, which makes you worry for the future of shinty.
