This is Pools, a 'full time' professional club, begging for a friendly on twitter yesterday like we were some local park side, it was also posted on the same day we announced a 'volunteer initiative' asking for fans to fill in positions like, lottery ticket sellers, decorators, joiners, cleaners and even Hangus the fucking monkey.

What the fucks happened to us.

You’re finally non-league. Congratulations and welcome to the club!

Nothing screams non-league more than that!

It's a shame you only want a NE club though. I'm sure we'd be happy to fill the void, will miss our 0-1 victory this season. :cool1:

Been a bit of a kick up from our fans for advertising for volunteers also. Personally don't see much wrong with us getting uni students in to help out with the media or commercial side of the business. Great experience for anyone wanting to work in that area further down the line.

Do you think they'd consider a semi pro team in the Dutch sixth tier? I know a guy...

No problem with a volunteer media team, we have one, it can be a little cringe to read at times but I suppose they're targeting a much younger audience on there and not myself, but volunteers on a match day is a recipe for disaster, people will soon get sick and you need a plan B when people stop turning up to do their roles, the club is like a ghost town, there's three people running it today and they want volunteers to fill in roles that three months ago were paid positions at the club.

Just heard it was from the actual club as well not some fans.

I genuinely thought it was an attempt at banter, like "welcome to the same level as Morecambe" or something. Baffling waste of time and money.
