Nope, you're wide of the mark here. As someone else said, it's impossible to get to Cleethorpes from Eastleigh and back by public transport on a weekday evening.

It's impossible to get between a lot of places and back on a weekday evening. Many clubs have offered free coach travel for games - and not always big matches either.
A lot of Grimsby fans will be spending their evening on a train outside Clapham Junction anyway, possibly listening to the game on the streaming version of BBC Radio Solent.

Maybe if you had provided free travel, you wouldn't be sending half your allocation back.:ffs:
Yes, very embarasding, ONLY selling 500 tickets for a 500 mile round trip on a Thursday night, how shit are we.....?! :dis:

As has been said, there will be loads coming from London. Same with any club playing in the Sarf-east of the country. Many of what you did sell are being picked up on the gate by your Exiles.

But how shit are you? Well, you've been shit for years, really.

"Eastleigh v Grimsby KO put back to 8.15pm according to the @btsportfootball team"

Struggling to deal with the 500 floaters doubling their attendance I'd imagine.

It's due to the Grimsby players walking 3 miles from the hotel to the ground because of bad traffic..

I can remember walking along a very narrow road from Southampton Airport to Eastleigh ground when we played them in Fa Cup two years ago!

I think it's far more than that. Would be the same if any local non-league team was doing well though.

Bit nasty that, eh? Seems to go beyond banter.

Yeh, that's another thing that's definitely up there in tinpot status. I can't think of any other ground which cannot be physically reached on a pavement. Stoneham Lane is narrow and busy, and doesn't even have a verge. Bloke in front of me tonight before the game got his elbow struck by a wing-mirror. I saw a few Grimsby fans walking up the link road from Parkway to the roundabout....mad.

No worries. There's plenty of things that are tinpot about Eastleigh, but the free travel seems a decent thing more than tinpot. You all made a decent noise tonight, and there was a good number of you. Never denied that in the first place. Had your club provided or subsidised travel another 500-700 could have joined in.....

I can't believe no one's mentioned Romford's manager having an in-game fag during the Kingstonian-Romford FA Cup tie.

So Sunday League that is...

I've seen Hellenic League managers with pints on the side of the dugout during games before now.

Sure it happens in the North West Counties too but never seen it before. Fantastic to hear! Would love to see it happen in the Football League but sadly it never will.

Seems weirdly appriotate for me to post this here rather than starting a new thread.

We have announced a new Badge

ATFC%20NEW%20LOGO%202015_zpstgbilrnj.jpg
[/URL]

Many of the early badges of the 1960s featured King Alfred on them who is the towns builder and founder.

Cant say I like it to be honest at all, hoping it will grown on me?!
