Latest King's Lynn post. I mean in some circumstances (asking fans to clear a sudden snowfall, maybe) this sort of thing would be legit, but I'm not convinced this is one of them...

Tea and biscuits though!

National League getting their own table and results wrong.

They've got Wrexham down as beating Altrincham 3-0 when they only beat them 2-0 which on that table puts them ahead of us when they're not as they've only scored 38 goals not 39. It wouldn't be as amusing if it was the final day.

How poor is that....?

Mind you on our official website on the match report from last night, we have omitted one of our substitutes completely. And he came on with 15 minutes left!

A braver man than I might suggest some sort of corruption going on there

That referee was farcical. Both penalties were debatable, the red card was barely a yellow and there were several breaks for injuries, subs and the VAR calls in the 2nd half. Totally tinpot.
He would fit in perfectly in this league

Everything our social media admin writes is pretty tinpot. Seems to be the way things are going these days. Or maybe I'm getting old.

50k likes as well. I guess any publicity is good publicity?!

Our social media is just rammed full of foreign Chelsea fans now replying to everything. Quite a weird love in going on.

On a serious note by all accounts Chelsea were fantastic to us though - invited our entire academy down, were seriously good to our staff and directors and seemed to enjoy our support and team so much so they clapped our goal and cheered us off the pitch.

If that gets us a PSF against them in the summer at our gaff i'll take it.

Chesterfield fans were clapping Chelsea goals too, you could see them after the second one went in. Bizarre.

I thought it was us who had been in Non-League for ages, but it turns out Chesterfield have gone full small club.
Tbf that’s got nothing to do with the club. No idea who’s produced them but agree as much as I enjoyed the goal I won’t be framing it in the office

to be fair I know it's not tje majority of Chesterfield fans. It goes back to what Cashis was saying about the media team as well. Bloody kids.

A whole generation who think Chelsea are a big club.

This all reminds me a bit of when we beat Aveley 5-0 in the FA trophy QF a couple of years back after their unlikely run to the latter stages.

Their players got a standing ovation at the end from the home fans, and when they walked into the Navigation pub after, and their social media was full of Notts fans saying things like ‘Will be looking out for your results’, ‘Now go win the league’, ‘You’re my new favourite (insert tinpot league) team’, ‘Unbelievable support’, etc, etc.

Of course most of it was a load of condescending crap and miraculously no Notts fan any longer gave a fuck about Aveley approximately one week later.

Yeah it's just patronising bollocks. We're all on the food chain.

We've good some team called Larkhall in the Trophy on Saturday and we've got our podcasts having friendly chinwags with their supporters club members about what a great club they sound. I'm sure if we turn them over with a nice little 3-0 or something we'll give them a little pat on the back and say "good luck for the rest of the season"

If they beat us 1-0, some of our scallies will probably brick their coach.

Nobody will ever forget that tap-in to an open net when they were 5-0 down for the rest of their lives.

Seriously, they won't. The Chesterfield Twitter will make sure of it.
When Asante drilled it in the top corner from 40yards

This is a hammer blow because I thought Chelsea were going to be our pals forever. I guess the expected shirt sales boom from our new African contingent won’t be happening after all.

The guy doing the admin is creating lots of engagement and appealing to a younger fan base. It's just a bit of a light-hearted laugh and kind of his job. The Chelsea fans 'awww look at you how cute you're my 2nd club now' is condescending as fuck though. Doubt they'd be giving it that one if we'd somehow won on some dodgy decision or something. They obviously won't give a monkeys next week. Still, if a few of them want to jump on the website and buy a bit of merch though, or even pop to a game one day I'm not about to stop them
