Stockport fans singing "Grimsby get battered" in a trophy game. Funny how they didn't sing that a few months back when the ref rescued a point for them.

Crazy a town that size has 2 non-league teams-let alone that close.
looking on google maps that site waaaay out of town too

More of a Rugby town, Bedford Blues get a few thousand for their games and the ground is actually in Bedford, although still probably 15/20 minute walk from the train station. Historically football people from Bedford supported us

We normally play a pre season game at Bedford Town most pre seasons, decent set up they have that’s improved recently but miles out like you say. Definitely puts a limit on support for them I think. They have had a recent injection of some cash too and have some known names like Craig Mackail Smith, Rene Howe turning out for them this season

Since the Bolton games where we sang it, some people have decided to sing it to everybody. So it's not exclusive to the FA Trophy or Grimsby or even the scoreline but it does belong in this thread.

Yeah it's a weird one, I was of the opinion this one was supposed to be reserved for your local rivals. I think you're the first team that's sang it to us since Scunny, the season before last but I could be wrong.

Some of our fans sing that to everyone, it's bloody embarrassing when you are singing it at the 15 or 20 Wealdstone or Weymouth fans- epitome of punching down.

Was he also raised in a Council House? local boy made good. Don't ever get bored of reading about that in the Guardian.
Going well for them after all their big talk earlier on in the season isn't it.

Their owner has been revealed as a Twitter idiot and the fans are on his case non-stop for not sacking the manager.

Anyone else seen Stephen Cleeve doing his side hustle as a signer on BBC News?
