If Cheltenhams is 600k and ours is 1 million then that's pretty scary. Don't want to think about how much were paying Higdon and Taylor Fletcher, at least the other two high earners Norwood and Mcnulty are earning their wage.

You just wait until they move and start getting gates of 10000 regularly.

It's wierd that Fenty kept going on about how we had a bigger budget than Grimsby and that we have state support. Bizarre claims.
They'll have to fiddle the books if they get into the football league or the budget would drop due to FFP.

State aid

That clip looks like it's off a VCR from circa 1988. Also the guy interviewing him looks like he's just picked himself off the floor after a scrap at the local Wetherspoons.

Fenty and co have never been media-savvy or particularly savvy at anything. Pointless, terrible video that makes me think of I'm Alan Partridge so much. The interviewer Dale Ladson is also a talentless, waste of a wage; see the difference between the LJL Christmas ad and this disaster.

Dale is a nice chap, this isn't his fault. He was obviously put up to it by JF.

According to our chairman at a shareholder's meeting last night ours is £600k. Not sure where that puts ours in the grand scheme of things.
I doubt that's even an average budget in the Conference and I'm struggling to believe that bearing in mind you're also getting parachute payments. If it is correct, and you end up getting promoted, everyone involved in Cheltenham Town needs to buy Gary Johnson a pint because it'll end up going down as one of the biggest overachievement stories in recent times.

I'm sure Dale's a lovely guy but most of the interviews he conducts are awful. The same questions every time: " how did your move to Grimsby come about?"
" what sort of player are you?"

I think he even asked a striker once " Are you looking to score some goals at Grimsby?".

So much about this video is tinpot: the 20-second shot of a back of a bloke's head, an interviewer with the charisma of a cheeseboard - looks like he's been battered with one too - and the sound of someone (cameraman?) taking a drag from a bong at one point. And "voiciferous". Haha.

This video -_-

Use the same recipe but chuck some steak in instead. Fucking lovely.

As it is, I'll stick to getting a kebab down the hill after the game.

As for the "only vegan club in the world" bit, the vast majority of our fans/staff/players are not vegan. The players/staff are allowed to eat what they want. And do.

So it's mainly just done to sell to the fans on matchdays really. Lucky us.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with vegetarian or vegan food tbh. But... That is is awful, those " protein" pellets should be banned and people who eat them sent to a re-education camp somewhere awful. Imvho of course.

That's some impressive fire-retardance (retardation?) on that shirt

Tbf you can't really blame the BT graphics dept for not being able to tell all these tiny clubs apart.

''I think the difference is also because fans don't see themselves as customers and {…} they go to the restaurants with their families every week and they go to the cinema but if they aren't satisfied with the product will they go and scream to the people in charge of it? No they don't, but they do it with a football club and that's very weird (meaning unique) because they feel a sense of ownership of a football club and that's a really difficult balance of how you try and engage with fans and make them, incorporated into some of the decisions of the club ''

Charlton's statement to their customers :ffs::ffs:

CLUB FORUM CLOSED DOWN

The official Alfreton Town Football Club Forum has been closed down and is no longer accessible.

The Forum has been taken down with the full support and unanimous backing of the ATFC Supporters' Association.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in a sensible manner, your support was greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, it also became a regular target for outside interference and rogue posters on numerous occasions which has spawned far too much negativity about the club, and spam posting has increased greatly over the past few years.

It is a decision which has not been taken lightly, but one which has been taken with the club's reputation and best interests at heart and we hope all of our genuine supporters will understand the club's actions.

To the dedicated few volunteer moderators of the forum, thanks very much for all of your efforts over the years.

The definition of tinpot. Seems our chairman cant take any criticism whether its constructive or not.
Does he/she not realise that somebody will just make another one?

Our official forum has been "down for maintenance" for seven years now. I'd regroup as quickly as possible.
