Sadly they still did. They bought out SSV Markranstädt and took their place in the fifth tier. Toxic stuff. If I ever wanted to die from a heart attack I think I'd do it some other way than drinking a Red Bull.

Not sure who they tried taking over in England? Be grim if they tried to... Both us and Germany have restrictions against private companies sticking their names into football clubs, most recent example being Evo Stik South tinpotters Shaw Lane Aquaforce FC becoming Shaw Lane AFC this season. Similarly, RB Leipzig are officially called RasenBallsport Leipzig of course, though Red Bull regalia is still absolutely everywhere. Summat uniquely sinister about hollow branding, especially in places as tribal as football.
The RB Leipzig situation in Germany is causing massive bad blood....the stewards at their home stadium are even told to remove any anti Red Bull banners from away fans.
One amusing spin off were the Hoffenheim fans who had banners at their home game against Leipzig complaining that RB had taken thier matle as the most hated team in Germany! But don't worry Hoffenheim (and Wolfsburg/Leverkusen) there is plenty of ill feeling to go around.....

I get the animosity towards Leipzig and Hoffenheim, but why Wolfsburg and Leverkusen?

AFC Bournemouth last night...

Sam Davis tweeted: "Kids trudging away from DC with their Dads in tears. Their first #afcb game they could get tickets too. Not upset for me, upset for the rest."

Great the youngsters could look after their parents when suffering such heart break. Grown men crying is tin pot in itself!

Owned by VW and Bayer?

Personally can't see a problem with company teams, not sure why the German fans get so wound by them.

It's all to do with the supporters ownership ruling. A couple of teams, shall we say, are a little happier to play around with the rules.

Because German fans quite like the influence they have in the running of their teams and what their matchdays are like. It is why they still have terracing, beer, reasonable prices, train travel to away games and are not subject to vegetarian braadworst.

Torquay fans tonight bringing a plant pot, taking it in turns to put it on each other's head and singing "he's got a plaaant pot on his head".

AIDS in its purest form.
I know I'm massively late to the party with this one, but some of our idiots robbed a toilet brush from the toilets in the ground and were putting it on their heads singing "he's got a bog brush on his head", the dirty gits. Stewards were getting involved too.

Our manager got the oppo's manager's name wrong (not just say, a Stephen instead of a Simon, but a completely different person) in his notes in yesterday's programme. Good job no-one reads it I suppose.

Do you own a watch? Your phone would also have given you the time, before you went onto twitter.
Haha you really like me don't you? :2thumb:
Unfortunately there is no guarantee that the second half kicks off at exactly the right time amd strangely enough the first thing on my mind at the start of the half was not checking my watch for the correct time.
Sorry for that, do you own a brain? :fing:

You must have really struggled when you were in the conference then.

Also - surely you only had to check Twitter once and from that you could work out what time the half started? Or do you "not own a brain"?

Our scoreboard hasn't worked properly since our Championship days. Luckily I have learnt how to use a watch in the meantime.

That does smack of 'over complicating' things though, Twitter becoming the be all and end all now. I didn't give a toss how long was left yesterday....too busy singing!

Don't worry, one day the internet will reach Stockport and you will be able to check twitter.

If the arrival of the magical information pipes will render me unable to perform basic functions like tell the time, then those famously dynamic and forward-thinking places like Grimsby can keep them for themselves.

Can someone explain how you tell the time from twitter when you have no idea how long it took someone to send the tweet.

Some clubs do minute by minute updates with the game time mentioned. There's always someone in a group who knows how long is left. Always

Example:
85 mins 'shot saved' etc....2 mins ago.
So 87 mins gone.
Simple.

Sorry I didn't know that Stockport games second halves kick off at 4pm..... on the dot.... every week.... therefore meaning at 4:45 every week it is the 90th minute.
Apologies.
