I've always fancied playing you lot whether it be league or cup. Be one hell of a darby and believe me we hardly ever get matches like that up here so it would be great.

Who are your best players?

I doubt we've played each other competitively for decades, but it would be a cup tie - I think the younger fans would see it as a bit of a derby (and we've had a lot of ex-Carlisle players and loanees in the past), where the older fans obviously believe we're still Lancashire and are more bothered about Morecambe.
Jordan Williams has been watched by a few league teams, but I'd say Byron Harrison, who has been in and around League 2 for a number of years, is about as good as we have. And Livesey, of course!

Mansfield Town do not have a scoreboard, i was having to check twitter on my phone yesrerday to see how long was left.
Ours counts down from 45 each half, but sometimes they forget to push 'go' right on the referee's whistle and so it just stays at 45:00, also when it gets to 0:00 it just stops so you need a watch if you want to know how much injury time is left.

If we're still discussing scoreboards, we also used to have a big TV screen that showed highlights of goals. I think it was provided by Eddie Stobart, and it was mounted on top of a lorry which parked behind the Waterworks End for each home game and the lorry was exactly the same height as the stand.

GOAL: Selston FC Reserves 1-1 @GreyhoundersFC, goal from ex @NFFC man Marlon Harewood after 46 minutes #NFFC #SFC

Yeah you really did read that right....
I did wonder what happened to him, last seen at Brunton Park playing his one and only good game for Hartlepool before being released.

Now look at him

I mean he is 37 and chooses to play for as long as possible at whatever level he can so fair play to him, just always amusing to see former Premier League footballers turning out for Sunday League sides, Stan Petrov I believe plays for one too.

Slightly different scenario there, not entirely sure I'd call it amusing. He's one guy I have a lot of respect for.

On a side note, when we played Nuneaton away last season one of our fans was really laying into Harewood, accusing him of being a thug and all sorts. I was completely bemused as, apart from maybe being a bit lazy, I couldn't recall anything terrible he had done. It was only on the way home I realised this guy must have got him mixed up with Marlon King.

What are Barrow fans like? I've heard some unpleasant rumours about them being violent and hooligany.

This true?

It sounds like that report was written by someone who either didn't know who the players were, couldn't see their numbers or might not even have attended the game. Shoddy!

As well as the 3 times it missed out players names there are also 2 spelling mistakes and he also seems to forget that Grimsby were the away side not Cambridge!

Sure is a poor ground with no proper stand. Some of the pubs in town leave alot to be desired for too
