Sorry I didn't know that Stockport games second halves kick off at 4pm..... on the dot.... every week.... therefore meaning at 4:45 every week it is the 90th minute.
Apologies.

No worries. Stockport being the hut-dwelling, backward hovel it is we dont use a mechanical system for measuring time anyway but start and stop the game according to the position of the sun.

Example:
85 mins 'shot saved' etc....2 mins ago.
So 87 mins gone.
Simple.
You highlight the problem.
The tweet was made 2 min ago but the the person started typing the tweet more than two minutes ago.
So it was almost certainly more than 85 by the time the person saw the event in the 85th minute, typed their tweet and pressed send.

Problem with that is that in Winter when it gets dark by half time there is no sun so the referee will not know when to end the game.
Probably best just doing it by twitter updates mucker.

The good people of 1FF teaching GTFC1979 how to tell the time shows what a helpful community we have. That's the great thing about this place, everyone can learn something new each day. Tomorrow we will be explaining how to tie shoelaces, meaning he can say goodbye to velcro shoes once and for all.

He's been waiting all week to start wearing his new lacey's, bout time someone helped him out, the silly shit.

TOP TIP: Put one shoe on and tie it up first, then get the other one. Otherwise you're in real danger of tying them together, which would lead to an EPIC FAIL when trying to go and get your haddock and chips.

I think Grimsby's next away game is against us. We got a scoreboard about 20 years ago but then it froze in the middle of one game and we couldn't afford to get it repaired so we sold it as advertising space thereafter. (Surely worthy of this thread itself)

But yeah, Grimsby fans will need their Twitter apps to be working when they visit next month.

Fine, but you will lose the ability to use your hour hand as a navigation tool to tell whether you're shooting NW or NNW.

I personally prefer to be well-informed, so carry a discrete magnetic compass at all football games to remove the reliance on a watch battery or mechanism.

Especially because the cows on the Common, often visible (sometimes audible) form the South Stand, have been moved to their winter quarters.

We could have a thread about scoreboard malfunctions. Apparently we bought our last one from Gloucester rugby club, it used to whine constantly during matches and then for weeks after every loss. Seriously though, it had a habit of packing up during matches and displaying a single word, waiting, we were never sure quite what for. There was also a bit of a problem with spelling, though this was probably due to operator error, on numerous occasions the name of our opponents was mis-spelt...one day we played against Mansfndld Town, you could probably get locked up for doing that. Even the current one has issues, it went missing in the summer for repairs to remove a large red patch that appeared in the middle of the screen. Word from the wise, if you come to an evening game then try to avoid looking at the scoreboard. One of the adverts it displays is mainly white, the screen is so bright that it could leave you with badly damaged retinas.

YORK City Football Club’s manager Jackie McNamara has been convicted of fare dodging and ordered to pay nearly £500 in a fine and other court costs. McNamara, 42, did not pay the £86 fare for a rail journey between Edinburgh and York on April 11.

Had a feeling that would appear here. I'm a complete fucking idiot and yet I still manage to buy a ticket whenever I travel by train. We are a joke.

The floodlights have gone off on a second match in three days at Guiseley's Nethermoor, this time for an FA Youth Cup fixture against Halifax Town. We were winning, so they actually abandoned this one...

I wish you all the best this season pal and if you finish top and manage to get that shit tip of a ground fixed up then the powers that be might allow you the chance of a football league status.

We're hoping for promotion (obviously), which might spur them on to sorting out the ground. No offence, but hope you don't go up - we want to be playing you in L2 before long.

I've always fancied playing you lot whether it be league or cup. Be one hell of a darby and believe me we hardly ever get matches like that up here so it would be great.

Who are your best players?
