The only theory I've come up with is that he thinks our player has pushed their defender down when he tries the slide tackle. That's why he gives Darlo the free kick. Then the lino corrects him but because he blew his whistle before the ball crossed the line he can't give the goal. That's the only reasoning I can come up with.
