The remaining fixtures will be completed by March with a new tinpotter on the brink each day it seems.

Bloody hell. Does anyone want to be promoted? Macc leading the way but an absolute thrashing followed by player pay issues. Sutton facing a massive loss of income if they go up.

Fuck knows whats going on at Macc, players and staff have released a statement to say they've not been paid for January, nor had they been told they weren't going to be.

"As a team, we would like to make people aware that we have not been paid our January wages.
Whilst this is alarming what disappoints us most, is that we were not notified by the owner or the Chairman of the situation and have not been contacted since.
All despite numerous attempts for clarity from the players and management.
It has been well publicised that we have one of, if not the smallest budgets in the division and yet despite this, we are top of the National League.
Throughout this season the team, management and staff have always and will always be 100% committed to the hard work and endeavour of gaining promotion to the Football League."
Macclesfield Town Players and Staff

Wish the Pools squad were honest enough to release something like that. But they have the backbone of a caterpillar so no shock there.

Going Bust is back in fashion these days. Has been very quiet the last few years, after the flux of clubs like Hereford, Salisbury, Darlo, Kettering and R&D.

As for Macc, if this isn’t an admin error, for what reason do their seasons go to shit from January onwards?!

Hopefully it's a simple admin error and will be sorted but I'm not holding my breath.

Seems strange that we'd take 3 players on loan if we're in a bad way. A statement from the club is need very very quickly.

I really don't think it would be an admin error - the players and staff would have asked the club that before putting out a statement (it's also bringing the club into disrepute). Also, the club would be really quick with a counter-statement!

More likely they will admit some cash flow problems in the next 24 hours after realising that's the only reasonable excuse they can come up with.

The players and staff haven't been told anything by the club.

In times like this it is evidently clear that the only fair and sensible way to sort this is to consult the long-standing Natural Order Charter. Congratulations to Tranmere and Wrexham on their promotion to L2.

Yeah, exactly - I've been at a couple of jobs where wages weren't paid on time, and if it's an admin error (that is probably always a lie), the business would let people know. But the employees would have to seek some sort of answer before spouting off on social media (putting out a statement), otherwise that could be gross misconduct. The club are deliberately withholding something.

Daggers fans on the Facebook banter page seem to think their right in the shit now as well. Something about the bloke who was putting in all the money has walked away.

He only topped up this season but enough to make a difference in the wage bill.

This happens every year at Macclesfield. The next part is a statement saying they were 15 minutes away from administration.

We are fine, don't worry about us.

We are hosting CONIFA World Cup matches, so it is unlikely our 3G pitch will be removed this summer.

Whilst I do find the repetitive jokes on here funny, and very much play along with them, just being serious for a moment, this hasn't actually happened for a while now. We've been told the club is in the best financial position it has been in for years, and that investment has been made in just the last couple of months so this has come completely out of the blue.

But yeah if everyone could drop their buckets back off again that would be great.

HMRC have come a knocking at Pools’ door for their tax bill to the tune of £48k which is apparently getting paid for by the £83k raised by the justgiving page.

Fans paying a clubs tax bill, absolutely disgusting.

I think 2 of Wrexham, Tranmere or Aldershot will go up.

Its between Wrexham and Tranmere, we're fighting Sutton for 3rd (which they may as well let us have unless they want to dig up their pitch...)

Don't start bringing us into this, Tranmere have had this league won since day 1.
