Fylde and Barrow to go up, IMHO.

All part of the concentration of EFL 2 around the Irish Sea, with Morecambe and Carlisle staying up (and the latter being flooded, as usual), Fleetwood/Blackpool/Tranmere coming down, Southport getting promoted from NLN and funding a promotion charge for next season by reaching the FA Cup semi-finals, MK Dons moving to the Isle of Man as a tax dodge, Stranraer and Dundalk transferring from their current National leagues and a huge mudslide from the Pennines sweeping Boundary Park (Oldham) with it as far as Formby.

Are you pissed?

For what it's worth, Morecambe and Carlisle could feasibly both be relegated next spring.

Morecambe were poor last season and were no better when we beat them pre-season. their forwards couldn't hit a bar door with a bazooka or score in 3 "1 on 1's" with the keeper - and as for the comedy defending for the own goal....

Not pissed.

The first line of my post was fairly serious - Fylde have been there or thereabouts for a while, while Barrow are improving and if they can coax a good season out of Byron Harrison may make a challenge.

The rest is down to eating mushrooms for breakfast.

Except for the Oldham mudslide, obviously... :2thumb:

Morecambe will finish somewhere around 19th and stay up, everyone knows this.

Tbf it must have been impressive if you think they topped our turnaround. We were utterly shambolic throughout September, October, November and December last season leaving us in the bottom 3 at Christmas, and Sheridan somehow got a tune out of the players we had alongside a master stroke in signing Boden and turned our 2nd half of the season into play off form.

Must admit i’m another to have taken 0 notice in what Dover were up to at the end of last season or throughout pre-season, but it seems from what i’ve Read on here that we should be in for a stern test this upcoming Saturday as we host them.

If we’re serious about mounting a promotion challenge this year we need to seriously improve on our home form in recent years, so i’ll be disappointed with anything less than a win to start the season off this Saturday.

We had 8 points from 18 games, 5 points off 2nd bottom and 8 points from safety (and 8 behind chesterfield) then got 52 points off our last 28 to finish 16 points clear of safety and 1 point above you.

Looked good again tonight. Can’t wait now

This emerging Dover v Chesterfield End-Of-18/19-Season-Form rivalry is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Nah. If they fail to beat us Saturday then it will be drowned our by the doom & gloom from Chesterfield.

then Ian Evatt's team showed them what a dumb decision they made last summer by appointing the wrong manager.... luckily for Barrow fans everywhere...
Took us a while but we’ve got the right manager now!

Hope Evo does the business for you, but I imagine if he has another good season at the helm and you don’t go up their will be bigger clubs sniffing around him.

And so, we kick off tomorrow's National League season at home against Maidenhead United live on BT Sport.

Really don't know what to expect. I know Maidenhead struggled last year but ended up staying up comfortably and seem to have made some decent signings so could in for a more comfortable season. We're new to this level so it's up to the boys who won the NLN last year to stamp their authority on this division.

Be delighted to start with 3 points!

Happy new season-eve everyone!

Yeah, good luck MWS. Always enjoyed playing stockport (even though your fans hate us) and I'm so glad football is back

Can't wait for tomorrow. First time back in this league for 30 years. I just hope this time it's longer than a year! Hopefully start with 3 points but it will be tough against Bromley. Tuesday's a biggie as well against Fylde, we always beat them as well :shifty:

Utterly ambivalent towards your lot until that semi-final game. Still baffled the actions of those players, especially Rowe who I'm sure used to get a decent reception from us.
