No unfortunately not, the rules state no team lower than 7th can compete in the playoffs.

Last year in the NL South, Chelmsford got a bye when Concord were barred from competing.
I'm sure a couple of seasons ago Chorley got given a place because Darlo's ground wasn't up to standard?

They did, but that was when only 2nd-5th made the playoffs. The 7th place cutoff was still in place then.

Yeah i'm sure that type of thing has happened before - but only where a team wasn't eligible for promotion and not where they just declined to compete in the play offs

I presume so. Our Chairman and his co-owner haven't actually put any money into the club since taking over, we've need a crowdfunder to keep us going.
I wouldn’t say they haven’t put any money in. Sarll is always praising him for the backing he’s had. We’ve signed 3 experienced efl players in smith, dagnall and Richards plus a few loans since he took over. I think a few clubs have done crowdfunders to help out. I’m sure the fans would be happy if that money goes towards the cost of the play offs. A final push before the deadline at the end of the month should hopefully push it towards £50k.

I definitely hope we dont get a bye. I think those teams with an extra game will have an advantage in the next game.

These players will have played almost no football in 4 months and are going to be way off match fitness and sharpness.

Sticking with the hybrid format. I don't really know who's part time and who isn't, I know Hinchliffe is and he's the best 'keeper we've had since dropping into non-League so I've no problem with the whole thing

Was this ever answered? It's been referenced on our forum that every club in the National is training at least 3 mornings a week but I had it in my head that Chorley and Woking had remained truly part-time?

If the resolution is passed tomorrow and we're promoted, we'd have to stick to the usual two nights per week training.

What a pointless statement. Loads of moaning and then they say they aren't going to do anything.

As damning a recognition of the appalling standard of the Southern division as could be. It should be 3 up from the North and 1 up from the South. :ds:

If Havant win the playoffs then it's hard to look past Ebbsfleet for the title next year.

NL South never particularly strong but looks like it will be pretty weak next year.

I wouldn't overlook Dorking, they got money behind them & were one of the best teams I saw us play this season.

Havant won’t win the playoffs- Dos has not won a playoff game in 7 attempts across various divisions

After August, that stat for us was less than 180 minutes! But still, we were in dreadful form apparently...

State of that map. Next season is more southern than the fucking Conference South.

I'm glad we went up... i've been to watch us at (the old) Kings Lynn and whilst it looks relatively northern on that map it's probably easier to get to a lot of the southern grounds from Wrexham.
