If they’ve signed Williams, Rooney and Madden for around 450k that is crazy money. What about Jennings, Maynard, hogan were they free? Serious players at this level
I heard 75k for Williams - perhaps with add ons it would be approaching the 100k figure but he’s been terrible and won’t play another minute for us unless we get a huge injury crisis.

The Madden signing I’m happy with as even though the money has brought him here he seems incapable of not giving absolute everything in terms of effort and I’m confident he’ll never phone it in.

Going forward though I’d rather if we’re paying fees we get younger players with room to improve and resale value.

We’re already in a position where we have Williams, Bennett, Maynard and Jennings being outperformed by much cheaper players but they all have another year left on their contracts.

I don't know anything. Its just what should happen, and I dont say that with any great satisfaction- I feel for the fans and players but I dont see how they can let Dover compete in the National League next season.
I think there is a case to relegate them to Step 3 (if Step 3 have a vacancy and are willing to accept them).

Stockport County.
Isn't the NLS one team short?
It is.

It almost makes too much sense for the NL though.

It would round the NL to 22 teams too instead of 23.

Chester have been turned down for a loan, presume for being well run, chesterfield have been given nearly £1m though

To be fair our application was for some of the 11 million grant not the loan that Chesterfield have been granted, we cannot take on dept of any kind because we have no assets to secure any loan against.

Might be wrong but I think you can get a grant depending on your financial situation which is not a loan, but as you say we have handled our finances too well to qualify but worth a try, we haven’t payed a penny on our squad since the start of the season.

That's because the likes of Askew, Lacey, Bauress, Clark etc etc have been playing for us for free. Some of the coaching staff as well. Incredible gesture considering how things are. Meanwhile some clubs have been taking the piss and then get support....

Finally, news on Dover Athletic! Looks like they’ve got off very lightly.

Very lightly? Completely scot free more like. Heaven only knows why the other 6 who voted 'no' have bothered putting teams out if all the NL was going to do was issue a slap on the wrist. Can only assume Parmenter still had enough dirt on the NL board to get this sort of outcome.

Sooo they get to stay in the National League for next season?

They've got off incredibly lightly.
Looking at that sanction we would have been better off doing the same. At the very least one of those sanctions should be higher. 12 points is nothing for a 40 odd game season and many clubs have taken out loans much greater to finish the season.

Nothing against Dover but that stinks.

Would that Put Woking etc off doing it? I think it would be well worth sacking off the last 2 months if I was them
