Guiseley will beat us, play offs are gone and we have picked up some injuries with a very small squad. Manager mentioned we will start to field some youngsters, they could be all we have next season.
Barrow v Eastleigh
Boreham Wood v Macclesfield
Chester v Bromley
Ebbsfleet v Wrexham
Guiseley v Dagenham
Halifax v Sutton
Maidenhead v Woking
Solihull v Maidstone
Torquay v Fylde
Tranmere v Gateshead

Rovers have what looks the easiest fixture for the promotion contenders, but Gateshead can be difficult opponents and have tripped us up a couple of times already. Would expect Sutton to win at Halifax, but the games at Boreham Wood and Ebbsfleet are harder to call, while Fylde will do well to bring back more than a point from their trip to the Devon Riviera,

At the other end of the table, can't see Guiseley winning their must-win game against the Daggers, while on current form Solihull should be favourites aginst Maidstone in a 6-pointer. Think Barrow will get something at home to Eastleigh.

Regarding Gateshead. The couple that are currently keeping them at this level are looking to bale out as did Mr Wood before them, so unless there is another nutter with more money than sense we'll soon see them slip back into the Evo Stik Leagues.

Expecting the worst tomorrow. We haven't been terrible in any match I've seen in ages, but there's something missing - a bit of experience or leadership at the back? A cutting edge? I don't know. But at home to Eastleigh has 0-0 written all over it.
Monkey how come with all the money you've got you find yourselves in this position?

We need the win in all honesty I think - not just to see off the challenge from Ebbsfleet, but I can't see anything other than wins for Bromley, Fylde and Dagenham (who we then play on Sat)

We need the win also, if we're to keep alive our slim chances of play offs.

Agree with MD. Draw. 34 draws between us this season.

I gather we did appeal it but the result hasn't been announced. I doubt we'll know for certain until we see this evening's teamsheet.

Edit: yes he did. Whitehead also back from injury so good news all round (for us anyway)

Anything but a win tonight and I'd start to think that's curtains for us. To be honest, if we can't beat a team that's travelling this distance with nothing to play for you could say we deserve to go down, but you could have that opinion anyway having not won since October at home with 3 wins at Holker Street all season. In our previous stint in the Conference it's been the home form that has kept us up when we couldn't win away for toffee. I just can't see how we are going to score enough goals to stay up, it has got to the point if where Luke James doesn't score, we're unlikely score at all and with a defence that always has a costly mistake in it we're asking for trouble. Still, I go in hope.

Just take the week of work and do a tour of England (Guiseley to Torquay to Dagenham and back to Macclesfield)
Work? Been there, done that :D

Do I end up in Macclesfield for the open top bus parade? :giphy:

New Daggers date = Thursday 19th April

Monkey how come with all the money you've got you find yourselves in this position?

There are three big reasons:
1) Cox spunked the budget on some very poor players, many of whom have departed or barely featured, knowing full well that he wasn't going to be around to see them fail.

2) Mickey Moore was a disaster appointment, trying to change a defensive team into a Total Football unit - and failing miserably.

3) Pennock inherited a team that had struggled under two different systems already, and just hasn't instilled any real confidence in them at all.

Recipe for disaster.

I'd like to think if we stopped up and could settle into a system, we'd do alright. But looking at tonight's team, it's hard to see how anything will change in these next few weeks.

Tyrone Marsh scores for the Silkmen. If only all the games could just end now....

Losing again.

Only plus to come out of this shambolic season is the 650 quid I will get when we go down.

It's quite enjoyable not playing, and then hopefully watch the other teams around us balls up :bg:

BWood having most of the ball but we sound like still having good chances ourselves too. Really need a 2nd, and ideally 3rd!
