Professional performance and great result - particularly after the setback against Ebbsfleet. Boreham Wood were a decent side that lacked cutting edge. We were solid all over and Tyrone Marsh took his goals well.
Still need 4 points, so there's no point celebrating yet. If Tranmere beat Aldershot and we lose to Orient on Saturday, then things will look a lot tighter again!

You know the league is awful when Cook is now one of the best players. We’re about 50/50 to come down atm so I’m taking a keen interest in these last few games.

Come on and stay up Barra, I want my bonus trip to the Lakes again. Took the houndo up White Combe before our last match at Holker Street then stayed a couple more days for Skidda, Red Pike, Little Dodd and round Watendlath. You can't do that at [checks notes] Woking.

Are Sutton and Wrexham having a competition to see who can be the biggest bottle jobs?

Wrexham's fall is probably due to Keates going - If Waddock had left us mid season like that we would probably have fallen a bit too.

Sutton is as simple as they dont want to rip their pitch up.

Our falling away is due to our part-timeers unable to keep up with these full-time teams

Yep this was the Sutton dressing room after their last minute defeat at Halifax:

How many sides are still part-time in this league? Thought it was just us and Maidhead. Times like this that the home leg on a midweek is pretty helpful.

Dover train 3 evenings a week - i suppose that counts as part time.

The PT thing is a bit of a grey area. I mean, proper PT is training two evenings a week, 10 month contracts and a daytime job.

I suspect most sides classed as PT in this league are now closer to FT than PT.

We went from part time to full time, yet somehow seem to be worse than we was when part time.

The argument has always been that unless you have the parachute payment or billions to spunk on football league wages (like F£R and Fylde) then the national league options are to take the dregs of the full time players or the cream of the part time. The reality is probably a mixture of both for FT clubs. Locale plays a part less than money in these agent driven days

After Harry Kane’s successful goal “appeal” Wrexham have launched an appeal into Andy Cooks 4 goals last night being attributed to Wrexham, following Cooks transfer to them last summer.

I hope Chester can turn up Saturday with the shackles off and Boreham Wood miss out on the play offs.
We played BW Academy today in the S/F of the u19 Cup. We won 4-1 against a team much bigger and in some cases 2 years older. At the end of the game a BW player was shown a red, one of their players punched a Chester player and it all kicked off. Their coach was a right knob too.

I can't believe Cook and Matt Rhead have played so poorly for us this season. Zero goals zero assists. Get rid.

Journeymen just after a final pay day mate. Scum of the earth. Rhead does surprise me though, you'd think he'd want to prove the Cowley's wrong for replacing him with Akinola.

Our boys beat Hastings 3-1 to go into the final and are unbeaten in 19 games, scoring 84 and conceding 17. Hastings coach (or his assistant) was sent to the dressing rooms for being an arse. Must be a Southern thing. See you in the final. :bdick:

Well you have to start young to instil the values that make B’wood such a distinctive and well-respected club (sic).

I'll be there. Must warn you that BW were favourites for this and we blew them and their mental coach away. The only problem is the u19 manager has replaced sacked MB until end of season. At 24 Callum McIntyre must be the youngest manager of a team at National League level ever.

Perhaps on of the U19s can step up as player-manager?
