Our game is now officially sold out in the home ends - Due to us offering £5 tickets for Non League Day. :bdick:

Will be interesting to see how we cope with a big crowd after losing our first home game last time out.

All our short comings usually occur at home...........

Isn't this the time were we both wax lyrical about the good old days, playing in the league together, hand in hand, brothers in arms...

We'd sold 450 at the end of play today so I'd expect 500-550 to travel, would've been more had it not been made all ticket during the week but it's to be expected with you lot having sold out.

Don't really fancy our chances here, we do perform much better away from home but we still have a tendency to concede needless goals, Salford totally bucked us last away game so hoping for better.

Optimistic 1-1, with Noble winding up most of the crowd for 90mins.

Big crowd tends to equal home defeat. It’s the Orient way. Time to let Salford’s fairytale story run free on rainbow unicorn wings at the top of the table.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to the day on a personal level either. Any tinpotters want a ticket to a genuine Brotherhood derby?

Think I read somewhere a few years ago that Orient had played Hartlepool over the course of history more than any other team. Wouldn't surprise me.

Oh and hello fellow football fans, haven't posted on here for a few years and completely forgot about these forums. Have to say having been reading it regularly this season it's nice to see a place where by and large supporters can talk about football and can at least, in the main, string a sentence together. Some forums notably on facebook are a bloody disgrace. But generally like the vibe on here

Ah the Brotherhood derby, two of the four non tinpot clubs, relegated together hand in hand, shared histories of 3rd and 4th tier football, shared pain of home defeats to the likes of Maidenhead, shared pain of late L1 play off final defeats, shared experience of bastard owners sending us to this hellhole.

This is the ONLY game of the day. And one of the few games in this league when you don't mind that much if you lose, as it's all for the greater good.

I think we'll be in or around the top 7 come May but Orient will be top 3. They're looking stronger than us so 3-1 Orient even though our record at Brisbane Road is pretty good.

Should be a good game, big crowd and a good travelling support.

No, we've played Chesterfield the most out of any side down here (before they reformed as Man Utd), although we BRUTALLY RINSE Orient in the head to head record

Watched us at Aldershot last week and it was mince. They took two goals with two chances while we messed up some very promising set pieces. Midfield missing for yet another game, our manager the only one who doesn't seem to spot it. Conceded a nightmare third where our goalie and two CBs stood there like a pork pie at a Jewish wedding as the ball bounced over them. What's more Aldershot's away end offers views of half the pitch from some of its seats, and is about the size of a rowing boat.

Going back down to Cockneyville tomorrow so will be missing the game against Chesterfield. Unsure what I'll be up to, but I doubt I'll be inspecting the fellow #Brotherhoods in their game at the O Arena either. We actually have a chance of winning it seems, going by Chezzy's own ineptitude, what with Kosylo and Brown back too. But nonetheless I'm sure their team is semi-competent when it can be, and there is a very real possibility of 9'16" Dennis scoring with that 50p head of his against his owd side, resulting in hell breaking loose from the home end in the realisation that they've been had by this Fullarton fella.

We've really been pushing Non-League Day but as we're not much to watch and still eye-wateringly pricey, I'm not sure if that 3,000 barrier will be troubled. Tends to be nice to have more than two stands open though and certainly beats the regular atmosphere... provided we play some football.

Who is it this week, Stranraer U12s?

They’d probably be a sterner test than Wrexham were the other week....

I feel the jealousy levels, but I’ll be to busy having fun in Dublin watching the Sutton

Pretty sure it’s Bristol Rovers. Hard for a northern side to be up there due to our time in D3 South.

Fingers crossed you have a very generous referee as you did in your game against us.

To be fair that's quite a fun tie but honestly what is the point of that competition? And as for jealousy we have an actual record of European competition so not really...

That can't possibly be true- you couldn't have met at all in the league until 1958, when D3 N & S were merged into D3 &4. Then all those years you spent in D1 & 2 when Hartlepool were bumping along the bottom of D4, locked in an incestuous embrace with The Shaymen, Darlington and Wrexham, Stockport, Chester, Crewe etc. They've played us 111 times and we've been in different leagues for 20 of the past 25 years. For the record, cuz I know you wanna know, here's a list of our most played oppo's, off the top of my head:

Rochdale- 126
Wrexham
Hartlepool
Tranmere
Darlington

Yes I am wrong, of course it would be a southern team, and I make you right with Bristol Rovers, although it was a while ago so not sure if it's changed since.

Well AFC Halifax 2008 have only played us 3 times which is less times than we've played Arsenal in competitive fixtures, so no, they don't even figure anywhere on the most played scales, unless you support Frickley Athletic or something.

I was gonna bring it up but thought having to swamp through another B2TF historical bore fest in which he brings up the days of black and white football would be detrimental to everyone else.

And we're now gonna win 2-1, optimism has risen.

Last season was drab at Daggers. They were down to 10 men from probably about half-hour in.. and in a classic Keates team performance of last season we shithoused a win with a final minute own goal. 1-0.

Would absolutely take the same result again, to keep pressure on Salford, who again will surely not drop points at home to Braintree...

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots at £astli£gh. Historically, not a good one for us. Management change can inspire or deflate,so home team performance is unpredictable. Shots are growing in confidence, and teamwork.... Heart says 0-2, head says 1-1. Just hoping for a good game of football.

Bromley away for us - looking for our 3rd win on the bounce and 4th win in 5.
Without 2 players on international duty (wales and ireland U-21's), but with a new Portuguese winger, 2 back from suspension and 1 possibly back from injury.
I'm fully expecting Jack Hindle to score within the 1st 10 minutes as he's on fire again now.
We've only won 1 away, but they've only won 2 at home - 3-1 to the Bluebirds

I would expect us to name the same squad who beat Maidenhead last weekend, wary of Hartlepools lineup going forward in Noble and James.

As I said before, we don't usually find the right answers at home when we need to, so interesting to see whether or not our players will cope with a large crowd. We tend to have a period during home games where seem to sit back and soak up pressure.

Can't see the crowd officially being more than 6,500, won't be higher than 8,700 as Pools have sold 500, but we shall see. In 23 years I've only known us to get over 8k just the three times for a regular league game and one of those was way back in August 1995.

We’ve had an early red card in this fixture the last two seasons and gone on to draw both.
Our form is beginning to pick up, and hopefully Hessenthaler jumping ship will work to our advantage.
2-1 Shots.
