Same here if the other one stays active on the non league forum then I’m not gonna bother with this one anymore but I suspect now this one is up and running again people will slowly start fucking the other one off.
Hope not though.
Me too GTFC, I will be staying on the other one.

I've got insufficient privileges to post on the new place. Anyone else got that?
No didn't have a problem, but I think someone mentioned it and clearing cache and something with internet settings cured that...perhaps someone can advise you?

No point going over there if they're not going to let people post.

This place only went down for like 24 hours.
It went to shit for a lot more than just 24 hours it was playing up for days.

It will end up heavily modded shite on the other site like when Pagnell etc used to treat it like a full time job banning people and dishing out warnings etc when not understanding the context of the people having the conversation.

I know it’s popular to have a go at clubs for calling off games but it really is dreadful behaviour from Southend. Fans risking it by traveling all that way in minging conditions for a game that could’ve been called off ages ago had they not desperately tried to cling onto the bigger payday

I know they’ll say ‘you can’t call a game off on a weather forecast’, and then Dover get made when someone does call a game off on a weather forecast, but it was bizarre that game wasn’t called off last night.

Solihull Borough HAVE to be favourites for tomorrow’s game now given Chesterfield’s latest injury blows. Even Cooky’s infectious personality will struggle to overcome the loss of Tshimanga, Oyeleke and Croll.

Dare I say… beleaguered Chesterfield?
We are fucking cursed no doubt about it. The injuries this season have been mental but to lose our best 3 players in a single game is absolutely mental.

I think the wheels will fall off sadly :(

Not defending the club but it’s literally part and parcel of being a lower league fan who goes away games. Of course they were going to risk when the downside to calling it off at this time is pissing off a couple hundred Grimsby fans

It’s not just Grimsby fans, not all of yours will live in Southend. Everyone knows a late downpour is unavoidable sometimes. The south is currently in a weather warning that includes lines such as “there is a good chance that flying debris could cause a danger to life”. Obviously we shouldn’t be encouraging people to travel to football games in that, same goes for Bournemouth.

Posted on the Grimsby Forum about 20 mins ago, still making me laugh in our worst ever season.

100 lads already there and staying the night so all you lot sat in your living rooms / bedrooms calling for it to be off need to give your head a shake.

Citing safety reasons whilst munching a beetroot sarney watching Tipping Point.

Seriously - Daft Decision to call it off so late, can only guess Southend were hoping for a big crowd tonight.

Aye but your club knew it’d be a 3.5 hour drive for fans in one of the worst bouts of weather the country has had in years. You were happy to desperately try to keep it on in an attempt to secure a few more quid from West Ham supporters, our club were pleading with you from 9am to call it off to protect fans.

FWIW I’m not arsed that it’s off, Friday night games are shit and the fact we bent over for you to allow it in the first place annoys me.

All this crying about wanting West Ham supporters from Grimsby. Get over yourselves.

FWIW I think the club should have looked at moving it back to Saturday earlier in the week. They took a punt that Roots Hall would survive and it's backfired. Such is life.

Why did you request a Friday kick off then if it wasn’t to boost support because your local PL team weren't playing?
