Hastily arranged trip to Yeovil for us who have won 3 from 4 so a big test - definitely our toughest so far this season so might learn something as to how good we are perhaps. We've had a bug in the squad all week so no idea who may miss out, we made 5 changes on Tuesday so expecting similar again tomorrow.

Notice Yeovil have someone bang in form too so might be a decent game. I swore i'd never go back after seeing us relegated there years ago but as my missus is away and i'd made plans to go to Woking anyway i'm off with a 7am start!

I've been meaning to ask this, is 6500 a sell out? I always thought Blundell Park was bigger than that? Wikipedia says around 9k
So yeah, the home sell out is about 6,750 right now because we aren't selling the areas directly behind the benches. Away end is about 1,800, so yep if that's full then right now around 8,500 is a full sellout.

Any Maidenhead fans on here able to tell us if your reserve keeper is any good? To be honest the guy who got sent off on Tuesday didn’t look great in the highlights so will having someone else between the sticks be that bad?

Ooh look who's all bright and brushy tailed, and starting threads again-we're unbeaten in 2, y'see! I can predict everything they'll do and everything they'll say! Clowns! :fl:

Well when we have 12 men and their dog rock up from small clubs like Halifax it’s tough to sell the entire ground out

Yeovil. Bleurgh. Probably take a point...? Can't see it being a high scoring game. Think we'll swap to our more defensive wingback combo of Carline & Whittle, keep the same midfield three that started against Barnet rather than using Mandeville in the hole and attempt to hit on the break. Danny Rowe to remain on the bench.

Don’t be so sure of that, we are haemorrhaging fans weekly therefore money. Last nights fans forum wasnt overly positive, with the Chairman seemingly accepting this level or the one below may where we are for the next few years whilst (if) the new stadium development is done. Add to that Searles continuous comments about us punching above our weight and the poor budget condemning us to a bleak future that hardly fills me with confidence.
Rooting for yas.

As in when the away end is sold out, I meant. Doubt we'll be experiencing that much this season with the likes of you lot in our division.

Reserve keeper is Rhys Lovett who you guys injured at our place last season. He looks fine from what I've seen, the usual first choice Holden is usually OK too but had a bit of a mare Tuesday.

A comfortable win for you guys, we look a lot weaker than last season and I think we'll be in a relegation battle.

Then again, we do always seem to win when we are least expected to.

I await with bated breath to see if Kewell will continue with his naive and illogical team selections and tactics..

Yes, we’ll see. You’ll probably get a goal, but our policy at the moment seems to be to try to out score the opposition.

Has Barratt been injured?

Shots at Wealdstone. Difficult to call this one, we had a huge shock on Tuesday when we won at Roots Hall. There’s hope here of a turnaround in results, but I’m not optimistic, as Southend’s midfield was pathetic , and allowed us to play and knock the ball around. Any decent scrappers will change that, and we’ll resort to useless long balls.
Difficult to be positive, there’s too much shit going on here off the pitch as well. Think we’ll lose, 3-1 I would say, hope it’s not worse.

Could be an entertaining game at Huish Park, two teams bang in form but with tight defences. Another Quigley pen won by Knowles to decide it.

How many can we expect from Stockport? Just incase any haven't seen the social media updates you'll be in the Skircoat stand the entrance to which is at the top of hunger hill and cash payments only on the turnstyles. We haven't moved into the 21st century clearly on that score haha
Since nobody else has patronised you, I'll weigh in and say: No idea

The general mood was extremely low after the Yeovil defeat, but then we put in a good performance in the win at Maidenhead on Tuesday and we do tend to do better away from home... I'd guess at anywhere between 700-1,200. Skircoat is the wanky all-seated one, yes? The one that used to belong to city? Shame, it was much better in that terrace last time (well, the game was awful, but still)

It's got 0-0 written all over it.

This seems like a good chance to put a stake in the ground and show we're actually challengers. I hope we see an attacking line up and go after the game personally. A draw with us defending for a lot of the game shows us nothing more

Yeah he came back for the last 15 minutes on Tuesday but maybe not fit enough to start.

I don't understand why we put anyone in that old stand be far better with fans behind the goal. However I think its more to prevent trouble than anything. That stand is as far a way from the home end as possible (in terms of when you leave) with probably a sizeable police presense In between. You may get some overfill Into the north stand if your lucky but you'd still have to leave via the Skircoat exit. As the Terrace exit leads directly into a car park that has a lot of home traffic after a game.

Hoping for a big following and a good game.

It is mad how almost everybody’s first trip to Non League pans out exactly the same in the first season
I was thinking that and it usually starts with winning the first game before the inevitable slump to mid table.

I agree it is our first real opportunity to show how good we are (or aren't). I think he will play it safe and bring Carline in at RWB, but would like to see Miller keep his place at LWB - Whittle is solid but in my eyes he is a proper LB (would be suited playing in a back 4) and he doesn't ever take a man on. Let's hope we go for it.

I would have normally started it by now but the falllout from Tuesday’s huge Brotherhood derby was still rumbling on so thought I would leave it another day.

Amazed Maidenhead haven’t Covided off our game yet after they had two men sent off v Stockport, including their keeper. There is always tomorrow I guess. IF it goes ahead we *should* chalk up another home win.

Wrexham v Dagenham looks huge promotion six pointer even at this early stage. Surely massive pressure on Parky if the visitors claim all three points.
Don't judge us by the standards of others.
We get on with it and will not Covid.
Game on.
