I think it is still wide open with so many variables at play - games in hand, fitness, injuries, form etc so wouldnt discount anyone or write off anyone yet.

Still think the best side I’ve seen us play were Solihull, then maybe Stockport in spells at our place in the league game (won’t discuss the farce that was in the cup games).

Ourbgames in hand are Kings Lynn, Dover, Halifax and Eastleigh - 3 at home so think if we can continue to pick up points at home we will click the table and challenge the play offs. Momentum is key, we’ve lost Denton for the season and Whelan is still out for 2 games who are big misses but just got to take it one game at a time.

We owe Altrincham one from earlier in the season so hopefully we’re up for it Tuesday.
I guarantee you won't beat dover at home

Or Kings Lynn, Steve Cleeve is talking about finishing the season after playing the next 2 home games. So he can get some income from streaming and tick off another 2 home games, so if season ticket holders want a refund it is under 50%.

Eastleigh will do well lost to both of them

All fair comment, and I think it was the Maidenhead game which spooked Ardley which is when we stopped being an attacking team looking to score goals and became a defensive team looking to stop them. Pretty pathetic for a Notts team at this level. Maybe he thought Roberts would be back sooner and he could put more of the onus on him?

Stockport are similar underachievers to us so we’ll see what happens, though as usual I expect we’ll park the bus. Speaking of Stockport if we’re looking elsewhere for a manager at the end of the season I could see us doing worse than Jim Gannon.

Was a weird knee jerk reaction to a game when we had half a team out with Covid.

As much as their involvement seems to be relatively low key, I can’t see Gannon getting along with the way our owners want to work tbh. I think there’s every chance that our next manager, whenever it may be, is going to be someone completely left field.

Shows you how much it means to Halifax to beat one of the Proper Clubs.

It’s always their European Cup Final when playing a Brother.
Yet, inconveniently for your argument, when we beat Wrexham (which happens a lot) everybody just shrugs and says, "Meh". :ds:

Also, some clubs have played a lot more games away than at home, and vice versa. This will also come into play as the season progresses..... :ds:

It’s still a bit of a factor, but home advantage doesn’t really matter this season anyway. Our home form is miles worse without crowds, but we’ve been a fair bit better away.

You may get a chance to change that on Tuesday if our last couple of performances are anything to go by! We *should* be looking to do what Chessie did to us yesterday, play high up the pitch, get in your faces, don’t let you settle.. but I doubt we will. Sounds like you’ll be a couple short tho?
Yeah we had four players out injured yesterday then Gilmour was sent off and MSH was once again taken out by a horrendous challenge which was of course only worthy of a yellow because poor challenges and blatant penalties were ignored unless it benefitted Eastleigh by the clown in charge so that’s six out potentially.

It’s not the number out that’s the issue as we have a big squad and will still be able to put out a 16 but it’s the importance of them as five out of the six would more than likely make our first-choice team if the whole squad was fit. Four of them play in wide areas as well either as attacking full backs/wing backs or wingers so the threat out wide is going to minimal.

Looking at the news coming out tonight. May could be the target for return of crowds - could make a huge difference come playoff time.

I saw Macauley Hales’ sister tweet a pic of the challenge on his ankle and it made me wince. Who else did you have out on Saturday?

But those that already have done will lose 3 points so that's basically the same.

If you and KL do sack it off that's 4 less games for us, which in a time when we are Sat / Tue now until mid April could be big in terms of giving us a break.

I think I read some teams lose up to 6 points if these 2 go rogue, with a fair amount losing 3 which I guess suits us who have somehow managed to not play either yet.

UK are wanting to host the Euros with fans which start in June, they'll have to have some test events prior to that so wouldn't suprise me that things like Fa Trophy, Fa Cup, League Cup etc are used as test events.
