Doyle will definitely come back in, just a case of whether it’s for JOB or Rose. Or the leftfield option of dropping Dennis and going 4-3-3.

Think we look a bit susceptible at the back because of all the changes. I’d be pretty confident in saying that Slocombe/Brindley/Rawinson/Lacey/McCrory is the best back line in the league, but with three potentially out injured there’s just no familiarity even though the replacements are solid players.

Give the ball to Callum Roberts would be my plan. How is Pools’ left back?

A right thug.

Our annual heavily discounted ticket match tomorrow £2.50 terrace for adults 50p for kids, we still probably won’t get 2,000 through the gates. Whilst most in attendance won’t give a crap about the result it’s an important game for us with some tough away fixtures coming up, we need to win or we could really be in trouble by the time we play Fylde at home two weeks Tuesday when tomorrow’s day trippers will soon disappear.

We're going with 3 strikers away to Borehamwood today. A bold move.

Our GK and back four have a combined age of 162.

Did this place go down again? 1 post since kickoff?

Talking of going down, FLYDE look doomed now.

Harrogate result is a concern, but it's all looking rosy at the bottom! Shows just how bad Flyde are if Effiong has banged in a hat-trick.

Great win for us. That last relegation place is going TO THE WIRE seeing as Brother Chesterfield now win every week.

Two great goals. We hung on most of the second half and just defended for a classic Keates 1-0 win but in truth Bromley were poor and didn't create that much

Negative Neal strikes again, dreadful manager.

I don’t like to speak negatively against a Brother but you were shite, we controlled the game from start to finish, easily the worst side I’ve seen against us this season.

Should’ve been out of sight in the first half, keeper ballsed up the flight of the ball for the first and was deceived by the second which was one of those cross come shot type free kicks.

Tight as owt in the playoffs now, I’m starting to BELIEVE

Surely it’s just the bottom 3 going down with the Bury situation?
Big win for us too, really needed that after a bit of a wobble recently.

Seems we are joining Yeovil, Bromley and Solihull in deciding we don’t want to go up. Dover, Barnet and Pools all coming up on the rails now

We are essentially a lottery, team is great as individuals but as far as i can tell there’s no management or organisation at all so it just depends if our individuals turn up are not. Today they did not.

Our usual keeper is injured, we did have a perfectly serviceable reserve but Neal decided to send him to sit in Chesterfield’s bench because someone else signed him and that is unacceptable.

I can see that, Rawlinson at the back looked decent, as did O'Brien when he came on, Dennis may as well of stood next to me in that first half and Doyle looks finished.

This being a tinpot league they still haven't confirmed what is happening. Got to just assume it's still 4.

The BBC are showing it as four relegation places - if that's the case, it's going to take a helluva points to stay up the way things are going, could be as much as 55-56.

Officials clearly have money on Harrogate to win the league.

I don't follow this logic, they're not being relegated from OUR league! It'll be 3 down from L1, 4 up from L2 and everyone lower than that will be, oh I see how it works now. As you were. :ds:

no-ones sure if Effiong got the 2nd he claimed. He missed another pen & Yusuff fired in the rebound, maybe it hit him

Fylde weren't the worst team i've seen, but we played 2 up front & 2 wingers & deserved to win despite letting in the early goal

Challinor was always the right call as manager and he’s doing a fucking great job. Back over for a week, first game in 4 months. The difference is unreal. He likes a high press and the most thing I notice is the team is a lot fitter. He’s getting the best out of the much flogged Nicky featherstone and even Kitching is looking a decent full back. We’re playing some good football and it finally seems we might be on the up. Even if we do fuck all the rest of the season I’ll still maintain that. Club has got the right people in and starting to move forward.

Much needed and hard earned win keeps us right in touch.

If our bog heap of a pitch can be patched up and the weather holds out, Tuesday night is a great opportunity to break into the top 7.

This is easily Featherstone's best season in a Pools shirt by a mile, absolute class. Notts barely had a kick in that game, the centre backs have made all the difference for me, they can pass and are comfortable with the ball at their feet and not afraid to run forward with, the total opposite of Kerr and Raynes.

As for Challinor, what a difference it makes having a manager who know's what he's doing, if we're still in touch after the Boreham Wood and Solihull double then I'm all aboard the playoff express.

So sacking your manager does sometimes work....
