Dive for the penalty? Seriously? Just watching the highlights the Barrow defender clearly clips the attackers feet. Clear as day a penalty

There was a touch, but he threw himself down like his legs had been swiped - that's my issue with it.

Definite penalty. Looked like a handball before it though.

Quigley is ace on those evil plastic pitches, he played on one for years at TNS. He also scored at Sutton for us too.

He was running and his legs were clearly clipped, throwing him off balance, it’s a natural reaction to trip and fall over....

Is it true that Hartlepool and Dagenham are the two biggest spenders in this division?

Just shows you that money isn't everything.

Utter nonsense, we probably have a top half budget no way top two with some of the players we have. The budget is certainly topped up by our American owners but not by much, they are spending more on the facilities.

Solihull were extremely poor today, hoof hoof hoof to the tank they had up top. Massive win as everyone around us seem to have won too, bottom 3 as it is are going down.

Stockport County.
Challinor has already said his budget at hartlepool is bigger than it was at fylde
An agent I know who's moved a few players around in this division reckoned Hartlepool had the biggest budget.

I’d be amazed if our wage bill wasn’t the biggest, and probably quite comfortably. Slightly different to budget though, I guess, as a lot is taken up by players with contracts from last season.

Biggest budget and biggest spenders are two different things surely? I'd say we're definitely top five, but that's not saying much in this league, we're certainly not hoying money around.

We've sold two players in January for around 150-200k, haven't paid a fee for anyone this season and currently have 5 loanees playing in our starting 11.

And I find this pretty funny coming from a Stockport fan who've recently been taken over and signed, McAlinden, Hogan, Maynard and also Danny Lloyd on loan...

Where is this touchiness coming from?

My original post was more a warning to our lot going into the summer and stating that budget isn't everything. It wasn't really a dig at Hartlepool. I was following on from the fact that another one of the big spenders (Fylde) look like they could be getting relegated.

You can tell we're approaching the business end, lot of panicking going on.

That's a relief, so bar a big collapse from one team it doesn't look like a "brother" is going down.

There are no guarantees, but if the NL do not reprieve 21st place then it would go against every decision they've made in similar circumstances for as long as I can remember.

No touchiness, just correcting your misinformation.

All the credit Jim Bentley built up over years and years at Morecambe seems to be drying up fast.

Did anyone think it was a good appointment at the time? It didn’t seem to fit for me

I don’t like to speak negatively against a Brother but you were shite, we controlled the game from start to finish, easily the worst side I’ve seen against us this season.

Should’ve been out of sight in the first half, keeper ballsed up the flight of the ball for the first and was deceived by the second which was one of those cross come shot type free kicks.

Tight as owt in the playoffs now, I’m starting to BELIEVE

We're basically mid table now, which is nice to see. Two more wins should be enough for safety with 3 going down.

Barring a miracle I expect the bottom 3 to stay there now

I thought i'd dust off the account to mark the occasion of us scoring 4 goals in a game! :ohm:

It's a struggle watching your team lose most week-in, week-out, especially has it been the case for about 4 years now so the thought of talking about the matches after doesn't really appeal.

I don't think we actually played that well yesterday, the first half was was an absolute shit show from both teams that we might have just about edged. definitely looked liked 2 teams who were "down there" though. Credit to Pemberton, he made the change early in the second half and brought on Tyson (who is still fairly rapid at 37!!....then again most of our players run like they are pulling a plough) which obviously turned the game in our favour big time. his 1st and 3rd goals were really well taken!

Pleased it was Ebbsfleet on the receiving end, still remember their antics from the game last year at our place. they were awful and should have one of the relegation spots covered. It would just be nice to know how many other spots there is!

We're well capable of poor. Until we sort out midfield we're going to continue to splutter. Also missing first choice keeper and Lacey in defence.
No excuses though, you should have won at our place too.

Negative Neal strikes again, dreadful manager.
Do you fancy managing us, you couldn’t do any worse than the current idiot.

I’m surprised there wasn’t any real criticism last season when you went down seemingly without pride or a fight, losing one six-pointer/winnable game after another. The only reasons I can think of for that were that he was new and the problems were more deep-seated.

Now, the only reason I can think of for keeping him on is that you still have a good chance of finishing top 7 and in this league anyone can beat anyone.

Craig Hignett said at the start of the season that our budget was just slightly above the divisional average. Wasnt too convinced that was true as we then amassed a squad of 78 midfielders.

Don't think our budget is top five though, our revenue should be, but spending power is less as we're still paying off debts from the relegation season.

Yeah, he’s had a bit of easy ride, mainly because of the off the field shenanigans from last season and during the season.

He did get a chance to bring some players in last season, and again since the new owners came in, but Ardley has never convinced me, and judging by the reaction to yesterday, his time could well be running out with a lot of fans.

There are a number of our fans saying Sarll should be sacked. We're 5th FFS.
