399 at Dover last night, yikes! Yes, the home crowd was sparse but I didn't realise it was that bad.

Perhaps he should look closer to home, was it really that classy of your captain to start fist pumping after he'd coerced the ref into sending one of our players off earlier in the season?
Bromley's bizarre obsession with us continues. Could it be connected to your appalling record in our games?

The support for all these clubs artificially promoted beyond their level, has a hollow centre. :ds:

Well, that was an enjoyable ending!!

Zero to hero for PP, awful tactics to start Mullin on his own up front with Hyde and Ponticelli on the bench....Poor midfield again and very poor wingback play. Halifax were the better side but we fell behind to the first chance either side had well into the second half, then he threw caution to the wind a little and we only had two defensive players on the pitch for the last 15 mins, and it worked.

What a difference a player like Mullin makes though, it was by no means a gimmie chance but once JP slid it to him there was no way he wasn't going to score.

As a aside, what was with your full back Warren? I don't think we had given him any abuse and he cupped his hands at us when you scored....He got a lot of stick after that and it's always sweet when something like that comes back to bite a player.

Finally, absolutely made up to see CJ score for Stockport, even stops me being upset that they won 5-0.

Ah diddums, poor little ole me making a perfectly valid point about bigging it up. I am reminded of Luton Town posters back in the day.
BTW,in the collection box there is 4pence and several towel donations from Wrexham .

I don't even think you believe that that was a valid point. Players aren't reading random non-league football forums or listening to non-league football podcasts fella, they're training, shagging and eating Nandos.

Ha! So what do you think goes on in dressing rooms pre-match? Every opposition manager will be emphasising your status as billy-big-bollox, hence the celebrations when a lesser team has the temerity to score in front of your famous cop.

Wasn't overly impressed with Mullin as a whole really. Not sure if he's being let down by people not on the same level as him or not but he really didnt do a huge amount during the game. The ability to take that one chance Is what you pay the money for though I guess.

Didn't see what Warren did but did wonder why he was getting booed.

Onto the next one. We are still well in the mix. Phenomenal support for a tuesday night I must say

No, they won't. They might say we're a big club for this level and play on that or something along those lines, but they absolutely will not be referring to our fans having the audacity to think we might do well this season which would make sense given, erm, all that money you've said we've splashed. You're talking utter bollocks I'm afraid.

Oh dear. Karl has developed quite the complex here. Is this treatment reserved for us especially, or is it given to whoever finds themselves at the top of the table?

Does that include the away crowd? Blimey.

Indeed. Understandable that apathy would kick in amongst home supporters and not exactly the perfect conditions to go to a game on a Tuesday night.

Mullin was definitely let down by the tactics last night, he is in no way a lone striker. Jarvis who was supposed to be supporting him was nowhere near and we had no wingers...It was pretty much a 5-4-1 a lot of the time.

Goals win games though and that is what he is there for, if we had anything going in midfield then he would have a load more than he has....Him and Hyde had a good thing going before he got injured so hopefully they can rekindle that.

If I'm being honest, I was disappointed in your home support...any atmosphere seemed to swallowed up by the size and openness of the ground and all I really heard was some behind the goal trying to give Lainton some stick....loved the ground though.

Stockport County.
Well known this forum plays a major part in the title race.

I'm still to this day convinced I psyched Gary Johnson out last year. Sadly we Rusked it and let Mike Gray from Sutton Rovers go and win the title.

Pretty much any cocky bastards, be they top , middling or bottom. My problem is that this league used to be for plucky part-timers who knew their place, not overspending bottom-feeders.
Anyway, good luck with your injuries, I look forward to you demonstrating that you have indeed got the strongest squad in the league…

The ground's far too big for us to be honest. There were about 400/500 more than usual from our end based on what your support was however getting the Halifax public interested is like pulling teeth. The manager and the club deserve a lot more based on the standards and levels we have produced the last 2 or 3 years.

Part of the problem is pricing but as far as I am aware we are pretty much par for most of the league on that. The communication we don't help ourselves. We just throw something on social media and expect that's enough. As far as I'm aware we are not in schools. We did free entry for kids under 12 with a season ticket earlier in the season. Not something we seem to do for bigger games though. Like anything else with our chairman though if it isn't working instantaneously he throws in the towel.

As for the support. As you say the bulk of our loud support is in the terrace behind the goal but the noise doesn't travel well in there. You had the best stand for noise and you made the most of it aswell.

This Paul Wild or whatever his name is hasn't taken another defeat to us well. Sleepless nights there after that one.

Dominated the game without the ball

"We've dominated the game from start to finish, with and without the ball, we've made them look distinctly average, with all the money and all the clout they've got, and we've basically ran them off the park tonight," said Wild.

"Somehow they've had two shots at goal and scored two goals, but obviously when they're paying silly money for centre-forwards then that's what it gets you, which is ludicrous but it is what it is."
